We were out of school for thanksgiving break and the only people who didn't travel over break was Ashton's family. My family wasn't traveling this year which was good because I could have ash and his family come over. Luke and his family went to Utah for a week and a half, Calum would either be working at Starbucks or really busy with family, and Michael was in Hawaii because his sister, Michelle, just got married. Michael could use some sun because the only color to him was his hair.

It was warmer outside than usual but I still wore my rugged jeans with a typical band t-shirt.
School was going good, I still had all A's but I was ready for the semester to be over with. I was ready for School to be over with in general, not that I didn't love school but I'm ready to move onto the next chapter of in life.

I had my system turned up super loud, jamming out to greenday and other bands while I cleaned my house. I was home alone while my parent worked a half day. They're supposed to be getting out around 1 or 2 and then run some errands for thanksgiving.

It was a day before thanksgiving and I was almost done cleaning. I had cleaned every single room. My mother even made me dust the fan.

I had plans to see Ashton later and I was excited for black Friday because I really wanted to get Ashton' s  gift.

I saw that the price was reduced for quite a few hundred dollars which made me want to get this gift even more. I had a couple of ideas for presents but I was the kind of person to put a lot of thought into each gift I gave. I wouldn't be surprised if Ashton started to cry when he saw his gift.

I know that Luke and Calum wanted to do a secret Santa present exchange but we wanted to all give each other gifts so that's what we ended up doing. Yes, it was early to be discussing Christmas but it doesn't hurt to plan/shop early especially if you're saving money.

Over the course of our relationship, I learned that Ashton's favorite instrument was the drums. He was constantly looking up tutorials on how to play them so he wouldn't lose what he was taught by his biological father.

His father used to be in this cool ass band, it was just the 4 of them, and it was called swallow the goldfish. Sure, the name was a tad bit odd but the band was definitely hardcore punk rock.

I was proud of him because he had made this makeshift drum kit so he could try to progression his practice and it was successful.

I didn't mind buying him something expensive as long as it made him happy. I had learned that I would do anything for him because he deserve the best. It was weird, caring for someone so much, possibly more than my own family. I finally understood what Bruno Mars meant in grenade although I only hoped Ashton cared as much as I did. Oh, Who am I kidding, I'm sure he feels the same way.

I constantly thought about Ashton, about his smile, the way he laughed, and the way he made me feel when I was around him.

I doubt anyone would understand how strong my feelings were for him. I didn't fully understand them. Most of the time, they were so strong that they would cause me to stay up, spending numerous hours racking my brain at the thought that often consumed my head.

After the house was spotless and wreaked of lemon Pine-Sol, I practically sunk down the leather couch that my mom just recently purchased. She was always re-doing something in the house. The only thing that has stayed the same would probably be my room.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and started to text Ashton to see what he was doing.

Butter cai: babe :(
dADdy: baby 💕
Butter cai: 😊 wyd, babe?
dADdy: ❤️ about to leave Starbucks. Are you ready?
Butter cai: ok well just barge into my house after you're done.
dADdy: ok, see you in a bit.

I set my phone down and went upstairs to look at my wallet. I had been getting paid for doing my chores recently so I can save up for Ashton's present. I also picked up other jobs on the side. I was hoping Ashton and I could run to the mall to get a glimpse of what they are selling because I'll have present ideas.

Ashton and I were walking around the mall. We passed many shops but I really wanted some pizzas so we walked up to a little pizza place that had the best pizza around.

Ashley was dressed in all black and let me tell you that was mighty hot. We both hadn't officially came out to our family that we were dating each other but we thought it would be a good idea to do it at Thanksgiving dinner.

We sat down at a table in the far back of the place and started to eat pizza.

"Are you nervous for tomorrow?" I asked before biting into my slice.

"Yeah, a little. Why, are you?" He asked after he chewed his pizza.

"Kind of." I admitted in all honesty.

"Don't because we'll get through this together. I'll always be here for you." He said grabbing my hand and squeezing it in reassurance.

He ended up keeping that promise.
