Government coverups and a mysterious mountain in Russia called Mount Otorten. The name of the mountain literally means...do not go there!!
This brings up a documented incident of 9 hikers attempting to get to the top of the mountain in early 1959.Now im going to warn you now, the outcome to this story can be pretty gruesome. i may be able to find pictures to back it all up and they wont be for the feint of hearts. moving on.....
As these brave hikers traveled up the mountain side, a severe blizzard caused them to stop with the top of the moutain right in their sites. To turn back and go to the previous camp would cause the hikers to lose an entire day, so they camped out in the open where they were at. They complained of bitter cold, freezing winds...a good ol' Russian mountain!
9 days later, all nine bodies of the hikers were found. Something had terrified them so badly, it caused them to cut the tent they were in from the inside, and run out into the snowy wilderness with only what they were wearing at the time, some even ran BAREFOOT!
What on earth would cause 9 experienced and wisend hikers to abandon their food and warm clothing and bolt into the subfreezing temperatures barefoot or protective clothing? Animals maybe? Its not likely at that altitude and time of year (early February). After a little research, it seems the worst you'll find is a bear...but keep in mind, there are NO footprints, pawprints, marks of ANY kind that lead up to the tent.
