Much is not known about this mysterious area 400 miles from El Paso, Texas. It has been speculated that there are extreme amounts of Magnetic and other anomalous energies there. Its discovery was by pure accident as nearby, a military test was being conducted with an Athena Missile. Once fired, it went off track by 200 miles and landed smack in the Zone of Silence.
Some of the reported and documented happenings that occur in the area is that AM/FM radio transmissions become completely blocked as well as walkie talkies and Television signals. Nothing can be transmitted from the Zone. Inhabitants in the neighboring city 25 miles away are quick to point out that they have never been able to pick up Television transmissions in the city or in the neighboring ranches.
A Meteor Magnet
Due to the high amounts of magnetism in the area and the iron that's been known to be the make up of meteors, impacts there are very very frequent. One particular Meteor was documented to have Crystalline structures inside that pre-date the Universe itself! Our Universe is 6 billion years old...the meteor was dated (dont ask me how) at 13 billion! Farmers that reside in the area also complain of " hot pebbles" that have bee known to rain down from Space. Below is a pic of the "13 billion" year old meteor.
Also, its been documented the upper stage of the Saturn Boosters from the Apollo Project was pulled down into the Zone.

The zone of silence is one of the most perplexing natural phenomenon ive read about to date. I dont usually include this kind of info, but it has also been rumored that due to the zones anomalies, several species of mutated animals and plant life can be found. However, i was unable to find any pictures of them....just this purple cactus :P

Another rumor is that there may be some ancient ruins located somewhere within the zone, but i was unable to find any real info about them. There is, however, a "biodome" that was constructed in the zone by the military to learn more about the mysterious properties
