Oh, how i love Ooparts! This has been whats gotten me into this subject in my blog on Ancient History. Ooparts are fascinating. They are things found throughout the world that never belonged in the time period they were believed to exist.

We will start briefly with this picture. This was found in an Cambodian Temple showing human and dinosaur co-existence. This is located in the Ta Prohm Temple near Angkor Wat.

Keep in mind that these Cambodian temples had begun being constructed in 8th Century and extended through the fourteenth century

The first ever dinosaur put up for display, fully assembled, was in 1868 in New Jersey, 10 years after they had discovered the hadrosaurus. That, to me, was the first time man could kind of imagine what the dinosaur skeleton could have looked like with its flesh. But that's documented in our own time frame. How do we know that people in ancient times weren't digging up fossils and assembling them themselves? We just have no record of it if thats the case...except what we see here.

Now, as i was doing my research....i asked myself the question what if...someone just popped out the animal and replaced it with a stegosaurus? Well, maybe not as easily as i made it sound but im sure you might be thinking the same thing in nearly the same sense...how do we know that it is real?

The best answer i found came from a source, surprisingly, at www.bible.ca. The sad thing is, i cant find the author of the post but however, there was two facts that struck out at me very surprisingly. one fact...you cant remove the block and replace it with something "else". There is at least 40 feet of overburden and displacement would be obvious. Also i think, experts in the study of geology or petrology would have noticed a change and would have noticed it pretty quickly.

Another VERY interesting thing...and i may have to make an entire blog dedicated to this subject...is the fact that the blocks are all held together with NO mortar..but "I" shaped staples. Call me crazy, but blocks located over in Tiuanaco and Puma Punku used the same method for linking Megalithic blocks together. Check out my Tiaunaco chapter and tell me what you think...

Tiahuanaco is in Bolivia while the Ta Prohm Temple is in Cambodia, for those not familiar with world geography, heres the distance between the two
