"I do"
"You may kiss the bride"
The two love birds were bound in marriage as they shared a small sweet kiss.
I wiped away a stray tear that fell down my face and my hand tightened around Nicks.
The audience applauded as the couple made their way down the small set of stairs and through doors of the church.
"Everyone" the voice of the peppy wedding planner called out. "the party is outside so if y'all could make your way out."
I stood, shifting baby Cale on my hip and replaced Nick's hand with Summer's.
"Let's go baby girl" I said, leading her out into the light of day.
She pulled on her dress, trying to make it 'less itchy'
"Can I go play with winter miss Lacey?" I nodded and her hand left mine as she ran away to find her friend in the small crowd.
"So, I can have your hand back now?"
I gave Nick a little laugh and slid my hand into his, intertwining our fingers.
"Lacey! Nick!" Lauren waved is over to her and Alex's table.
"Thank you so much for being able to watch them when we go on our honeymoon."
I bounced the baby in my arms and smiled at the newly weds.
"No problem, we had fun last month when y'all went to Florida to get the dress and suit."
Lauren thanked me again, and then excused herself to talk to a different guest.
I shifted the heavy baby in my arms once more and turned to Nick.
"Lauren must be ripped, this baby heavier than an elephant!" I sighed and hunched my shoulders to add effect.
"I'm sure an elephant is that light." Nick said rolling his eyes.
"Here" he lead me over to a small table that was set up in the grass.
I sat down and cradled Cale to my chest.
"It's a beautiful day" I said, as a distracted Cale reached for a small butterfly.
"Just like you"
I rolled my eyes and slapped Nick on the arm.
"Don't make me blush." I playfully scolded him feeling my cheeks heat up.
"But why you look-"
Nick was cut off with the sudden crying of Cale.
"Shh baby" I placed his body vertically and looked at his crying features.
"Baby, don't cry" I cooed and tried to hush him, so everyone would stop staring as they walked by.
"Come here buddy" Nick plucked him out of my arms and sat him in his lap.
Cale's cries instantly died down and Nick shot me a victorious look.
I frowned and stuck my tongue out at him.
"One upper" I pouted and crossed my arms against my chest.
He chuckled and turned his attention back to Cale. he picked the baby up and tossed him gently in the air.
I laughed at Cale's adorable giggle as he was thrown up and down.
I watched Nick with Lauren and Alex's baby, wanting my own little child too.
Nick was a blessing with children, he could make them calm down, take a nap, clean their room, Nick could make them do anything and they wouldn't complain.
