Chapter Four: The nerd

"Lacy! get ready for school"
Blech school,

"Whatever mother!"
I turned my music
Up louder and started hopping around my walk in shower.

I lathered the shampoo in my hair again. Green Day was blasting through my iPhone Dock in the bathroom along with the shower, so it was a miracle I even heard my mom.

"Knock, knock, open up!"

I heard Justin's voice through the door,

"No justie don't, I'm in the shower."

I wrapped the curtain around my body in a lame attempt to cover myself.

"To bad, I won't look, promise."

Without speaking any further I heard him open the door.

"Justin, mom!" I screamed.

Justin clambered through the cabinets.

"Justin! Get out!" My mom yelled from downstairs.

"Mom"

"Justin!"

He grumbled and started to walk out. at the door he turned and I saw him grinning through the shower curtain.

"Have fun." he flushed my toilet and dashed from the room.

"Justin- OH MY GUMMYBALLS! JUSTIN YOU FLIP FLOPPIN IDIOT!"

I screamed scrambling out of the ice cold shower.

"I'm not an idiot"

He yelled up.

And if on cue.

"DONT WANNA BE AN AMERICAN IDIOT"

OKAY, I feel a little better now.
But only a little

After escaping the freezing cold water I automatically wrapped my self in my big super fluffy towel, which was might I add right from the towel warmer.

I snuggled into the warmth and opened the door to my bedroom.

I danced across the carpet to Maroon Fives song "Sugar". to my closet and swung the door open.

Without a second thought I grabbed a baggy sweater, pink leggings, some of my comfy uggs and a scarf.

I threw it all on and looked in my mirror.

I look normal, unnoticeable, perfect. I slid my glasses and fake braces on.

I was skillfully braiding my hair into a carless messy braid when I glanced at the clock, fifteen minutes till I leave, I'm making good time.

I ran down the stairs to be greeted by my moms wonderful cooking smells.

"Mornin momma" I hugged her and placed a kiss on her cheek.

"Good morning Lacey, will you get your brother."

I slouched over and sighed.

"Fine" I threw my arms into the air and stomped to the door to Justin's room.

"Rise and shine sleeping beauty" I sang. the door opened revealing a tired looking justin. poor guy,not.

"I've been up as long as you ya know."

I pretended to act surprised.

"Oh so it was Casper that flushed the toilet?"

I punched him in the abs before he could say anything back.

"Oww" I heard him whine as I sprinted back down the stairs to the kitchen.

I hurriedly grabbed two waffles and sprinted to the door.

"Hey, be careful driving." my mother called after me.

"Oh hey mo Lo you!" I muffled out through the waffle in my mouth.

I grabbed my keys from the bowl next to the door and sprinted outside. I slipped into my comfy little ford edge and pushed the key into the ignition.

My foot touched the brake right as my phone started ringing

I heard the piano tune from 101 Dalmatians.

I grinned and looked at caller Id.

"Hello Cruella De Ville, done eating those innocent puppies?"

I heard Bella groan over the line

"Is that still my caller ID?"

I grinned at hearing how flustered it made her.

"Yupperz" I said, popping the p's

I heard Bella groan again.

"Why." She sounded like he was stomping his foot.

"Oh shut up ya big baby, it's not like anyone hears."

She sighed

"Yeah okay, are you coming to pick me up?"

I stepped on the gas pedal and held the phone up to my ear.

"Yeah, I'm on my way."

"Good."

I turned out of my driveway and onto the main road.

"See ya Lacey." I heard Bella say.

"Adios"

"You're so weird" she muttered and hung the phone up.

I tossed my phone into the seat beside me and turned on the radio.

I clicked the button and smiled as I heard the power 96.5 radio come on.

As I pulled into Bella's drive I grabbed my phone and typed the number in.

dial tone

Dial tone...... "hi welcome to power 96.5 how can I help you."

"Hi, can you play the song The Circle of Life, from the lion king"

The line was quiet.

"Um yeah sure, next up, the Circle of Life"

Bella came running out the front door, red hair flying everywhere.

She practically jumped at the door of the car and pulled herself in.

"Boys" she told me, explaining pretty much everything.

I grinned as I heard the song start.

I turned to see Bella staring at me.

"Really?"

"Hey" I shrugged it's just the circle of life."

I winked and wriggled my eyebrows.

"Get it, get it."

She laughed at me.

"You're so weird"

I shrugged and pinched her cheeks

"Oh but you love me."

I cooed in a baby voice. she scoffed and practically tucked and rolled out of the slightly moving car in front of the school.

I laughed and pulled into my parking space.

Pulling on my glasses I ran my tongue over the fake braces.

Another day as the school nerd.

Yay.
