Sacrifice

Lillianna's pov

"Oh my God! Jenna!" Elena cried as she ran over to Jenna who was laid on the floor in the clearing.
When she sat up gasping as Elena grabbed her in a hug I realised what had happened.
"She's transitioning isn't she?!" I growled and Greta nodded as Elena looked up in panic.
"No!" Elena gasped. "But that means....."
"She's the vampire Klaus is going to kill in the sacrifice!" I snarled, turning and punching Greta right in the face.
Immediately I was thrown backwards by her powers as she staggered back clutching her cheek and I hit the ground hard, wincing.
"I thought I told you not to hurt her!" Klaus snapped as he walked into the clearing.
"She punched me!" Greta protested.
"I don't care!" he growled as he walked past her and stopped in front of me.
He held out his hand and I gave him a suspicious look before taking hold of it and he pulled me to my feet as Greta walked off somewhere.
"You ok?" he asked and I shook my head before slapping him across the face as hard as I could.
"Now I feel better." I declared before going over to Elena and Jenna.
"You can hit pretty hard for a human." Klaus winced as he gingerly touched his cheek which I was pleased to notice, seemed to be a bit red.
"I wish I was strong enough to rip your bloody heart out." I growled, giving him my best glare.
"Ouch." He chuckled as Greta reappeared dragging a screaming Jules with her.
"What are you doing to her?!" I demanded as she enclosed her in a ring of fire.
"I've slowed down her transformation process." She answered.
"Witches are supposed to protect the balance in nature!" I protested. "What do you call what you're doing?!"
"Being loyal to Klaus." She said calmly and I stamped my foot in frustration.
"Klaus is a flipping psychopath!" I yelled and Klaus looked mildly offended as he said,
"Easy love. I'm standing right here you know."

Rolling my eyes I completely ignored him and then Greta trapped Elena in another ring of fire before cutting her wrist and heading over to Jenna.
"Oh no you bloody don't!" I snarled running to try and stop her but Klaus caught hold of me, my back against his chest as he grabbed my wrists and crossed my arms over my stomach, pinning them there so I couldn't hit him as I struggled like mad to break free.
"GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!" I screamed as Jenna couldn't resist and drank the blood from Greta's wrist before she was put into another ring of fire as her transition into a vampire completed.
"I think it's better that I hang on to you for a little longer." He chuckled and then he leaned in so his lips were almost brushing the side of my neck before he breathed in deeply.
"STOP SMELLING ME YOU PERVERT!" I shrieked and flung my right leg backwards and upwards, quite impressed when I managed to kick him right between the legs, making him yelp and finally let go of me.
"Greta." Klaus said through gritted teeth and I was suddenly surrounded by a ring of fire too.
"OH FOR PITY'S SAKE!" I screamed in frustration and sat down on the floor, crossing my legs and assuming a meditating position.
"What are you doing?" Klaus asked curiously, he seemed to have recovered quickly from my well-aimed kick.
"What does it look like I'm doing?!" I snarled. "I'm meditating you twat!"
"Why?"
"Why do people usually meditate?" I asked sweetly.
"To relieve anger?"
"Precisely! Now shut up and leave me alone!"

I heard him chuckle as I closed my eyes and then Jules began to scream. I couldn't do anything to help so I blocked it out and concentrated on breathing evenly. Jules stopped screaming so phase 1 of the sacrifice is complete. Now it was Jenna and Elena who were screaming as the tears slowly escaped out of my closed eyes and rolled down my cheeks. Then Jenna stopped screaming. Phase 2 is now complete. I finally opened my eyes and could only watch helplessly as Klaus killed Elena right before my eyes and then just as he began to transition Bonnie and Stefan appeared and Stefan snapped Greta's neck as Bonnie immediately paralysed Klaus. The ring of fire around me finally disappeared and Stefan helped me up.
"Damon's recovering from another broken neck." He explained.
I looked pointedly over at Elena and Stefan gave me a wink but he made sure he was facing away from Klaus when he did it so Klaus wouldn't see. I kept my face expressionless but inside I was jumping for joy. They found a way to save Elena thank God, so she's not going to stay dead.

Stefan disappeared with Elena's 'dead for now' body just as Elijah arrived and began trying to rip out Klaus's heart. Just before he could accomplish it though Klaus managed to choke out,
"Our family.....I didn't bury them at sea......I can take you to them.....they're safe."
Elijah paused and Bonnie noticed his hesitation.
"No!" she cried. "I will kill you both no matter the cost!"
Elijah looked at me uncertainly and said quietly,
"Lia?"
"Oh fine." I groaned. "Just don't expect me to get along with him."
Elijah grinned and vamp sped off with Klaus, grabbing me on the way past and leaving Bonnie by herself in the clearing.

We stopped in the middle of some random woods somewhere and I bent over clutching my knees as I tried not to be sick.
"Ok I'm fine now." I announced, straightening up once the wave of nausea had passed. "I hate travelling like that for long......err......where the hell's Klaus gone?"
"He's transformed." Elijah sighed. "He's running around here somewhere as a wolf."
"Well please don't let him maul me to death."
"I won't." he chuckled but he still didn't seem his usual self.
"Hey I don't blame you." I said softly, giving him a nudge. "Jenna died which was awful but family is really important and Klaus might be your only chance at finding yours."
"I think you're the only person who understands." He sighed. "I've ruined the only chance to ever kill him."
"Out of love for your family. There's no shame in that."
"I'm very glad you agreed to come along Lia." He smiled. "Everyone should have someone like you to cheer them up."
"Thanks dude." I grinned and then pulled a face when we heard a wolf howl. "Remember you promised not to let him eat me."
