Sara walked into Korgan B. a whole new person, because she was. At least her last name. Sara Thompson. The name sounded perfect, and made her feel smarter! She wasn't Sara Lee, the retard that almost killed herself. She was now Sara Thompson...smart girl.

She actually stayed to chat in the halls with some random person she met while accidentally bumping into them and dropping their books. Very pleasant way to meet someone. His name was James Elton and was an exchange student.

Sara enjoyed her first class, because she really had nothing to fear. Miranda was gone, and that was that. Even though she did feel sorry about her death.

Her second class was bad, because it was history. She HATED History. But it felt better at 3rd hour, which was actually a study hall, yet nobody really studied. She saw Rodney and Steve discussing something while working on homework. Glad they would hang out again. This was a perfect day. She trotted over to Steve and Rodney, and smiled a "hello".

"Well look who's unusually happy today." Steve smiled at her. It felt great knowing that their arguement had faded away.

"I am. I'm a whole different person!" Sara smiled and swayed back and forth.

"Sara, you mean, like mentally, not physically. You're not a crazy-" But before Rodney could utter his sentence, Sara showed him a legal name change document.

He smiled and went back to work, and Sara glared over his homework, and Steve covered it with his hand.

"Why can't I see it?" Sara grabbed the end of the paper Steve wasn't covering.

He tugged at the paper, and so did Sara until all of a sudden a noise was heard. A large rip was in the paper.

Rodney shrieked, "How are we going to do this now?"

Rodney and Steve gave eachother a hug, and then realized they were in public. Everyone saw it. It was not normal for the two to be together, and even worse to hug.

"What's going on?" A student screamed from a table, and the whole cafeteria went silent.

Rodney scratched his own back while Steve whistled and put his hands in his pockets. Sara nudged them, obviously not understanding that being gay can get you bullied.

Rodney grabbed Sara's shoulder and whispered in her ear, "Don't! We've got this under control!"

Rodney cautiously stepped on the chair in the cafeteria, making sure his skinny jeans didn't rip. They were awfully skinny, could he breathe? But before you knew it, he was on top of the table, and everyone was looking, because who wouldn't have if you were the only one doing it?

Rodney cleared his throat, "Okay, so you may have heard about a mishap that happened a couple days ago. Sara Lee-"

"Thompson." Sara butted in.

"Sara Thompson almost killed herself. Why? Because she didn't embrace her differences," Sara blushed. "She almost died because she hated who she was. But I personally don't want to die, and I love who I am. Who I am you ask? I'm gay." He belted that out, and gave a loud gulp before he said 'gay'.

"With who?" A junior girl asked.

"What do you mean with who? You don't need another person to make you-" But before he could end his sentence, Steve got up, and kissed the words out of him.

"With me." Steve yelled, with an unnecessary fist pump. This made everyone laugh.

Sara wasn't sure if they were laughing at the out-and-proud kids, or the fist pump. If all those people were her, she would've been laughing at the fist pump.

"Wait, so are you still on the team?" Was all a jock cared about.

"Yes! I actually like football!" Rodney stepped down, and all the jocks gave him a pat on the back, and then the same to Steve, who was brave.

What they didn't know, was the jocks actually put a note on their backs. The note was obviously addressing their sexuality:

"Fag."

They sat back down, and everyone laughed once again. People were cruel. Very cruel. Sara was happy that there wasn't a secret anymore. If she ever found love, she would pronounce it to everyone! She was incredibly happy for Rodney, Steve, Madam Thompson, and Rick..but what about her? What would happen to her? She looked down at herself, heartbroken and stared at her body. Was she fat?

But just then, a kid came over, and asked her one question:

"Are you doing anything Saturday night?"

Sara looked up, and met eye to eye with James!

"You're really asking me?" Sara gave a little giggle.

"You want me to change my mind?" He laughed.

Sara twirled her fingers in her hair, and accepted.

Sara screamed at Rodney that she found a date. S

James and Sara went on a date later that night. They went to see a movie, and dinner. This was the usual for the next 4 dates, and then they would take plenty of small dates like go on a hike! She enjoyed the months before Miranda's horrendous funeral would be.

Sara enjoyed herself, while it lasted..
