Chapter Six- Saved from this place I call hell (Blow me away)
Enjoy!
My eyes widened, I looked at Dylan he had an unreadable expression on his face. There was an uneasy feeling in my stomach, I pushed Dylan's hand away and backed up into the tree. My palms were sweating and I was shaking from nervousness. I looked down at my lap as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. I could see Dylan was still crouched in front of me, but he hadn't moved.
"Who hit you, Snow? Please tell me." Dylan said in a soft tone. I felt heat rush to my cheeks. Wait, what the hell, I'm blushing!? What are you doing to me, Dylan?!
"Like I said before believe what you want. No one hit me I fell down the stairs this morning and that's all that happened." I was still looking down at me lap and from the chuckle I just heard from Dylan that was not the answer he wanted.
"Either you tell me who hit you or I find out on my own. I would choose the former if I were you." My eyes widened. He wouldn't- he couldn't. I'm thankful my hair was covering my face because it would have given away I was lying from the start. I quickly put my poker face on and look up at Dylan.
"Then you would be wasting your time, when I'm sure you have better things to do." Saying this might have been the hardest thing I've ever done. I'm now noticing that Dylan is the only person since I was nine that has showed he cared about me, but I'm just pushing him away now. I have to, he can't know anything. My eyes somehow managed to go back to the ground. Curious to what Dylan's reaction to what I said, I looked up at him. His face was blank showing no emotion whatsoever.
"Fine." Dylan said but in a low voice that I barely caught it.
He then stood up again and looked down at me. I left intimidated now that he was standing. Feeling small I put my head down and looked at my lap. I tangled my fingers together and heard Dylan walking away. I left a pang of hurt in my chest. If only things were simpler than they are now.
The bell signaling next period rang and I groaned. I walked into the girls locker room and changed to my sweat pants. When I came out coach told us to get lined up to play Basketball. Yay! Not. During the whole class I could feel Dylan's eyes on me. Sometimes I would look over at him, but look away once I saw he was already looking at me. Every time I would take a shoot at the basket I would cringe, because I was still sore from the morning, and every time I did cringe Dylan would start walking towards me, but I gave him a look that said 'Fuck off' and he would stop walking.
As I was walking home I couldn't get Dylan out of my head. And it was weird I've never really been interested in anybody. And the way his hand felt on my skin. It was the oddest sensation. If I hadn't pushed his hand away I know I would have left it there. What was happening to me?
