Chapter Twenty Three- Part One- Best Gift Ever (Without You)

Enjoy!

What the hell is Facebook?

See that was the thing about me, I wasn't a very social person. I wasn't into all the social media like everyone else because I just found it a bit stupid. But it's really not my place so I'd rather not say anything at all. And plus, even if I did want one, my step parents would never allow it. Just another privilege I wasn't allowed.

"What's Facebook?" I asked and not a second later, I heard a gasp from the other side of the phone. What? Did I say something wrong?

"You don't know what Facebook is?" He asked, clearly surprised.

"No that's why I'm asking stupid." I rolled my eyes again. Did I stutter?

"Hey no need to get hostel. Chillax, baby girl." I stretched my arm since it was getting numb from writing.

"Yeah well what is it, anyways?" I asked. I was a bit curious.

"Okay well basically it's a website, where people can communicate with each other and share pictures and opinions about things." I thought for a moment. That website sounds like it could start some much unwanted drama. In my book there was no need for it.

"Sounds boring to me." I said and went back to writing.

"It's not, if you're into it." He said. I kept writing but stopped once I hit a bit of writers block. I didn't feel like writing anymore so I closed my journal and put it on my night stand. Now I gave all my attention to what Dylan was saying.

"Well I don't have one anyways."

"I kind of gathered that you didn't have one from you asking, baby girl."

"Shut up. What did you want me to do on facebook anyways?" I asked while lying down on my back.

"Oh yeah thats right! I was going to ask if you could go on FB to spy on someone for me." he said. I became a bit curious as to who dylan wanted me to spy on, on FB.

"Who?" I asked.

"Jake." huh, why Jake?

"Can I ask why your best friend?"

"He's just been acting weird lately. I know it sounds stupid but Max said something to me that made me start thinking and -dare I say it- she might be right." I snorted at the sarcastic comment he made about Max but I was also curious as to what Max did say.

"What did Max say thats got you so jumpy." I asked.

"She said that Jake might be gay." I stayed silent waiting for Dylan to explain further but he didn't.

"I'm not seeing what's there to be worried about here." I stated my opinion.

"Jake being gay doesn't concern you? What if he is gay and he rapes me? I mean I wouldn't blame him but...I don't go that way...." he trailed off. I know that we were having a serious conversation but I couldn't help but burst out laughing. Never had I met anyone more conceded. Given it was one of the traits I liked about Dylan very much.

"I'm being serious, Snow! I'm scared for my life right now!" I calmed myself enough to be able to talk again but I couldn't stop the chuckles.

"I'm sure you can protect yourself, Dylan."

"Yeah but he's my best friend, I can't hurt my boy." I nodded in understanding, finally stopping my obnoxious laughter.

"Okay well how exactly do you want to find out if he really is gay or not?" I asked.
