My hand shot up almost immediately after the Mr. Boyd asked the question.
"Argon because its a noble gas" I said confidently.
"Yes Baylie, you're right."
"Isn't she always?" mumbled Reed. People around him snickered and I just rolled my eyes, not turning around to look at him
I hated Reed. He's a smartass, popular, and just mean. He also had absolutely no goals for the future. All he focused on was drinking and drugs. He was hot, yeah, but he knew it and was very cocky for that reason.
And then there's me, don't get me wrong, I've had the opportunity to be popular, I'm friends with some of the popular kids, I've dated popular guys, but I've never really wanted to be popular. I wanted to focus on my studies so I have a chance at getting a scholarship into a good college, its not like my parents can't afford it, I just like doing things on my own. I haven't done one drug, smoked or even had one sip of alcohol. To be honest, I've never even been to one of those types of parties. Unless you count my best friend Adrianna's 15th birthday party where her parents let her have a sip of wine. I'm pretty sure that doesn't count.
After school I waited for my older brother Trey so he could take me home. He was only a month older than me, we're both 16 year old and juniors.
I saw Trey walk out of school with none other than Reed. They were really close and sometimes Trey gives him rides home, I usually walk on those days. I tried to leave without them noticing me but I hear Trey shout my name and have no other choice but to turn around and greet them.
"Hey sisttaaaa" I gave him a pouty look and he gave me a 'sorry' face and shrugged his shoulders. He knew I hated Reed.
The ride home wasn't bad, i just sat in the back and listened to their conversations about their girlfriends, Allyson (Reed's girlfriend) and Morgan (Trey's girlfriend). I hated both of them and by the way they talked about them, they did too but stayed with them because they were hot. Ill admit, they were stunningly beautiful and I envied them for that. But then again, they were bitches, sooo it kinda evened out. Morgan hated me because Trey sometimes picked me over her.
"So are you going tonight?" Reed asked Trey.
"Of course dumbass," he smiled at Reed and looked at me " so is Baylie."
"Where?" I said frowning, I already knew.
"Allysons party!" Reed looked back at me.
"Umm no. I'm not."
"Umm yes. You are" Trey said in mock tone.
"No Trey. I'm not."
"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaseee Baylie." Trey pulled a puppy dog face and I laughed.
"Bro give up, she's not going to go. She would rather study" Reed inputted and said the last sentence in a mock nerd tone.
I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Shut up Reed. Sorry I don't like being around drunken sluts and hormonal boys."
"Whatever Baylie"
"Hey guys, no fighting." Trey said, smirking.
I sighed. I really haven't been to a party, and maybe its time to go to one.
"What time?"
The boys both smiled.
