Adrianna stopped at the top of the stairs and looked at me with wide eyes.
"Baylie. I-"
I put my hand up and asked "Are you guys a thing now?"
They looked at each other and then at me. "Kinda."
"So you guys have feelings for another." I raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah." They said in unison. Not looking me in the eyes.
"How long?"
It was silent for a while. I spoke up again, louder.
"How long?"
"5 or 6 months about." Trey almost whispered, still not looking me in the eyes.
"And you guys haven't even thought about telling me that my best friend and my older brother had a thing together?" Tears formed in my eyes. I felt so betrayed to be honest. I wouldn't have been so upset if they would've just told me instead of hiding it from me.
"What about Morgan, Trey?" I asked, anger now showing in my voice instead of hurt.
"I don't know." He mumbled.
"What about me?" I asked.
"I'm so-"
"No. Do not say you're sorry. I couldn't care less if you and Adrianna had a thing. But the fact that you BOTH hid it from me and you were BOTH the people I trusted the most, that hurts." I say, tears finally slip down my cheeks and I quickly wipe them away. I grab Adams arm. "Lets go."
We got into the truck.
"Do you still want to get something to eat?" He asked tenderly.
"I don't care." I say, looking down at the floor.
He nodded and drove us to a park that had no kids, considering it seemed like it was about to rain.
As we got out of his truck, we started walking to the swings.
"Are you okay?" he stops.
"Yes." I croak. I hate it when people ask this, for some reason it causes me to cry.
He grabbed me and pulled me into his arms. "No, you're not."
"Yes I am." I say, my voice cracking.
"Bailey."
I let go. I wrapped my arms around his back and gripped his shirt. I cried and sobbed and couldn't stop.
"It's okay to cry Bailey." he said, petting the back of my head.
I finally stopped crying and pulled away. I wiped my tears away with the back of my hand and looked at him.
"Thank you."
"For what?" He looked at me curiously.
"For being there, when I felt like no one else was."
He smiled his crooked grin and pulled me back into a hug and hugged me so tight my back actually popped.
"Oopsies." He said and grinned foolishly.
I laughed at him.
"Its good to hear you laugh." He smiled at me and laughed when my stomach rumbled loudly.
"Hey Adam, I know I said I didn't care about eating earlier but...you know.." I smiled up at him and he laughed.
"Alright, lets go get something to eat." He took my hand and led me to the truck.
As we got to the fast food place and I smelt the greasy goodness, my mouth watered. I haven't had anything greasy in so long.
I ordered some chicken nuggets while he got a burger and we drove back to the park. He jumped out of the truck and opened the bed of his truck and laid down a blanket. He spread it out on the truck and pulled me up on the bed with the bag of our food. We sat and talked on the bed of his truck and ate our food and talked when I got a phone call.
I looked at the caller I.D.
Shit.
