He put his head back in his hands and wouldn't look at me again, no matter how many times I asked him to look at me. 20 minutes passed when he finally said something.
"Bailey.." He sighed. "I don't even know what to say, good God." He ran his fingers through his hair and tugged on it roughly, then let out a deep breath.
I didn't know how to reply to him, so I sat there quietly.
"You hate me." He stated.
I sighed heavily. "No, I do not hate you, Reed."
"You should." He looked at me.
"Well I don't."
"I really am sorry Bailey."
"I forgive you Reed."
He looked up at me with a wide grin and hugged me tightly.
"Thank you." He mumbled into the crook of my neck.
He pulled away and it was silent for a moment, then his stomach rumbled.
"You want me to go get you something?" I asked, smiling.
"Yes, please"
I ran downstairs and cooked some pizza rolls.
"Do you want something to drink?" I yelled up to the room.
"Yeah." I heard.
I grabbed a box of Capri Suns, and walked up the stairs.
We ate and talked a bit in my room while watching tv. At first it was kinda awkward and silent, but then we started to talk more and more and soon we sounded like best friends. Its weird to think that Reed went from the guy I hate, to the guy that I actually wanted to be good friends with.
"Lets do something! Im bored." He said.
I laughed. "You want to walk around?"
"Sure!"
When we went outside it was still cloudy and dark out, but I didn't pay any attention. We walked and walked in random directions until we reached a forest. I've seen this forest before, but never really paid any attention to it. It was actually gorgeous up close.
"Hide and seek.. Ready. Set. Go!" Yelled Reed, and just like that, he was running off into the woods.
"Wait! Reed!" I frowned.
I looked around the forest for what seemed like 30 minutes when I was about to give up and call him. I screamed when Reed came up behind me and grabbed me.
I turned around and hit his arm. "Not funny." I said, glaring. I broke into a smile and laughed.
He laughed with me and we laughed until we felt some water drops on my head.
Two seconds later it was pouring so hard my skin actually hurt when it hit.
Reed grabbed my hand and we ran and laughed until we reached an old shed. He pried the door open and it barely opened enough for us to squeeze through. We got into the shed and sat down when I started shivering uncontrollably, I didn't even realize I was cold until now.
"Here, let me see if there are any blankets or tarps anywhere." He offered. As he was looking around i heard him gasp sharply and whisper "Shit."
"What happened?" I asked.
"Nothing, I just cut my arm a little."
"Let me see."
"No its okay." He insisted.
I rolled my eyes and he continued looking for a blanket.
"I couldn't find any" he frowned. His right hand was covering his left forearm and I looked up at him.
"Reed let me see your arm."
"Its fine, don't worry about it." He looked down, not looking me in the eyes.
"Reed." I motioned for him to sit next to me and looked at his arm. This wasn't a little cut. It was a gash on his arm. I frowned and looked closely. Then I noticed something more disturbing. He had many long slits on his wrist. I gasped and looked up at him. He yanked his arm out of my hand after he realized what I'd seen.
