Kai and Cinder walked hand in hand down the marketplace. Kai had on his signature grey hoodie. Cinder also had on a grey one, but when she picked out a brown hoodie, Kai threw a fit and insisted they match. They were both very lucky that it was breezy and not scorching hot. Kai had somewhere he wanted to take her. Now that there were engaged, he upped his game on the dates they went on.
He tugged her hand forward, and started running. She followed him willingly and gasped when she saw their destination. He had set up a picnic date for the two of them. "Kai! You really didn't have to do all this!" Kai gave her a cheeky grin. "Of course I did, you're my soon-to-be-empress." She leaned forward and kissed him. "Now, let's eat."

"I hate rain."
"Kai, it's fine. It's the thought that counts."
"Stupid rain."
"We can just do it another day."
Kai pouted. "Hmph."
They had just started eating when it started to pour. Not a small drizzle, pouring rain. They ran inside the palace, Kai whining the whole way. "Why now?"
Cinder took his face in her hands. "Let's just go get cleaned up and watch a net drama while cuddling, okay?"
That seemed to cheer him up a little bit. They refreshed and the sat on the loveseat, Cinder's head on Kai's shoulder, Kai stroking her hair, and Cinder fast asleep.
Bonus:
"AHHHHHH!"
"Torin! Let us sleeeeeeep."
"Your Highnesses, you have a meeting in ten minutes!"
He started to lecture them on being on time and how "royalty toke effort and time".
Torin looked down at the emperor and his fiancee sound asleep again. He groaned, facepalming. "I give up."
