This is future Jazz (around two months). I have changed this writing very much in my future chapters. Please give it a chance. I agree, this is a terrible chapter. Read the next three or four chapters. It gets a lot better. And I mean A LOT better.

There once was a beautiful maiden, named Aphmau. She traveled the land near and far. She had a village of her own, named Phoenix Drop, which was always her main focus. She adopted two kids. One named Levin, and the other, Malachi. Even though they weren't hers, she treated them like they were. Everyone in the village knew she would make a magnificent mother, like she is now, for when she creates a being of her own into this world.

She has three guards. One named Garroth, who always stayed quiet to himself. He has been very absent recently claiming he is sick. She is very worried. Garroth has never been sick before. Next, Dante, who is loyal, and full of courage. He would never betray Phoenix Drop, he was trustworthy, and finally, Laurance. He has a deep admiration for Aphmau, the beautiful maiden. He has light blue eyes, that glow in the dimest of night, and short, wavy brown hair that flowed in the richest of times. He is everything anyone would ever want, but he never seemed to catch her eye. He was second in command, right after Garroth, who was one of the first people the beautiful maiden has ever met.

Ever since the first day Laurance met Aphmau has always said how her hair flows in the wind, and how her eyes dance with the stars in the deepest of nights. No matter what he did or how, she never seemed to notice. Nothing was more important to her than her village. She was loyal to them, she fought for them. Everything she did was for them. Nothing else was more important to her than her village. That is one of the reasons Laurance has liked about her. She had priorities, and it wasn't all about love.

One day, Phoenix Drop went to war with Scaleswind, and O'Khasis, who claimed that she kidnapped Garroth and Nicole, to bend both Scaleswind and O'Khasis to her will. Aphmau tried to avoid war for all of her time as lord. She would do anything for peace. Suddenly, she said "Wait...if i give you my hand i marriage, will you stop this war, and declare peace." There was a pause of silence. Zane was considering all the things he could do with her.

"Well, if that's what you really want, then I suppose I can make that arrangement." He had a grin from ear to ear. Aphmau wondered what he was going to do to her. He could do anything. She felt so vulnerable.

Laurance was devastated. He knew he couldn't let her leave like this. He stopped Aphmau in her tracks. "Aphmau!" he said. "may I please speak with you before you make your...departure." He sounded so professional, but you could tell his soul was dying inside. He leads her into one of the guard towers. He makes sure they are in private and no one can see them. "Aphmau, we can fight them. You don't have to go," explained Laurance.

He was determined to fight Zane his self if he had to. He would do anyhing to prevent this from happening.

Laurance could somehow feel that Aphmau had feelings for him at that very moment. It was like forbidden love, but the feelings Aphmau had towards Laurance she did not understand. She thought it was the feeling of caring for your guards.

"I can't take that risk, Laurance. I have to end this nonsense for your - for the villages safety. I can't allow this place to get destroyed after everything he have done."

Laurance then brushed his hand against her cheek, knowing it's going to be the last time he will ever touch her soft, warm face. Laurance begin to shed a tear. He knows he can't let her go like this, not just yet. He takes her hand.

"I understand why you have to do this. Though I do not approve of this, if this is what you want, I will let go for you. Just know that I love you. Aphmau, please, always keep me inside of your heart."

"Laurance."

Tears flow from Aphmau's face. She jumps onto Laurance, hugging him. She holds on. There's silence.

"Take over Phoenix Drop. Let them know I will no longer be there... Tell them I made a deal to marry Zane for peace. Take care of Levin and Malachi for me. Let them know what I have done. Tell-Tell them I love them. Tell them that I didn't want to leave them. Please Laurance, let them understand. Even though they won't understand now, they will later. I-I just need to know they will be all right!"

Her words were filled with dispear, but they were also filled with something else. Something vital in this situation. She was filled with hope.

"A-Are you sure. You still have the choice to stay-."

Aphmau gave him a stern look. He knew what she meant. She had to go. It wasn't a choice, but it was a decision.

"F-Fine, I knew you wouldn't give up like this. And know I will never give up trying to get you out of this. Just...don't lose hope."

"Laurance, I would never" Aphmau proclaimed.

"Alright, you had your sappy moment, hurry up," explained Zane.

Aphmau lifts her heavy head with despair. She doesn't want to let go, but she knows she needs to for the safety of her village...for Laurance.

She inches her way to the carriage, knowing that she will no longer be the lord of Phoenix Drop. She knows that instead, she will be known as the High Priest's Wife. She trades herself to Zane in exchange for peace.

He begins to hold her. Laurance can't even dare to look at this, but he stays strong.

"Oh, and don't forget, she's mine know."

Laurence's anger is uncontrollable. He starts to run towards Zane, shortly being stopped by his guards with a sword to his neck.

"Laurance!" cries Aphmau. "Get away from him!"

"I'll be alright, don't worry about me," said Laurance. "I'm a part of the past. Please, just guide yourself through the future, and don't look back," says laurance.

He has a smile on his face. He is trying to cover up the pain he feels deep inside his heart.

"Laurance," says Aphmau weakly. " I-I'm sorr-
