Aphmaus Proposal

The Betrayal

Aphmau became too weak to talk. Everything in her body felt limb, she was heartbroken. Her mouth was dry, and her hands were shaking with regret. She feels like it was all a dream. No-a nightmare. She just doesn't understand, she just can't. Zane has threatened Aphmau along with Phoenix Drop a numerous amount of times, about forced marriage, and putting an end to it all, but it has never gone this far. Garroth has warned her about Zane. He told her about how his family has disowned Garroth, yet he has never said Zane would betray his own family for his own selfish self. I wonder how it would feel to betray her own family. To give up the people you love most for something else. I couldn't even begin to know how this feels. I can't even remember my family, yet alone imagine betraying them. Maybe that's what I did to them. What if I betrayed my family for the life I had now. Even if that is not what I did, I wouldn't want them to see me like this. I hope that where ever they are, they don't remember me either. She felt hopeless, vulnerable, even fragile, but then she remembered. No, I can't lose hope. I have to do this, for Phoenix Drop, For me, for-Laurance. I guess I did betray my family. I betrayed all of my village, well, the village. It's not mine anymore. I betrayed the people I love for something else.

"Sweetie, how are you feel-"

"Don't ever call me sweetie," protested Aphmau

"You're a feisty one I see. Anyways, it really doesn't matter what you want me to call you not. Were getting married in a few days. Isn't that enough to think about?" Aphmau squishes up her face.

"As soon as I can get my hands on you I-,"

"Remember, I can declare war on Phoenix Drop whenever I want to. All you have to do is cooperate and it will be fine and we will live happily ever after."

Aphmau's heart falls deep in her chest. She couldn't imagine Phoenix Drop going to war. What would happen, would they all die, or would they hide. Either way she couldn't bare the thought.

"That's what I thought," said Zane. "Now, I talked to my guards, and we decided to have the wedding on in two months.

"What!? That soon" Quickly, Aphmau remembers what he said. How he could do anything. "That sounds... lovely. I can't wait," says Aphmau with a heavy heart. She can't believe she is being manipulated like this. She can't even bare herself. After a long 5 minutes of silence, Aphmau speaks. "How could you betray your family." Zane looks over confused. "How could you betray Garroth. He has been hiding his face for years just because of you. He is to ashamed to even be related to you that he hides his face. How could you."

"How did you even come up with such a thought. Garroth should be proud to even be related to me and my father. The real reason he should be hiding his face is of his betrayal t-, well I guess I shouldn't say. Not just yet anyway. I don't think you're ready." Zane has a grin so wide that it covers the whole bottom half of his face. Aphmau knows he is hiding something. She doesn't understand what, especially because it has to do with Garroth. He wouldn't betray anyone. He might be lying, or maybe not, but she will find out.

Ahhhhhhh! Omg. What is Garroth hiding? Is Zane just lying. Ik, but you don't. Not just yet. You don't understand, but you will. I was originally going to say what it was, but that would ruin all the fun wouldn't it. I cut out a lot more stuff Than planned, but trust me, It's coming soon. Hoped you enjoyed!
