Thousands of hands flew up in the sea of fans. All screeching for a chance to come up to the table. Of course I hadn't imagined that my book would reach such lengths across the world. I barely expected it to escape the local book store. Who knew my journey to Haiti would have been met with such enthusiasm.

I nod towards the guards to start letting the people through. I had only a couple hours to get through a flock of fans.

A teenage girl stepped up to the table and laid down my novel, "Miss DuPuis you're really a big inspiration to me and I'm so glad there are people like you."

"Aww thank you sweetie!" I squealed, signing the cover page and handing back to her. She smiled and walked off. Within seconds she was replaced with another person. This repeated for hours, showered by compliments by utter strangers. Hundreds upon hundreds of people thanking me for showing another side to the struggle Haiti endured.

After hours of countless thank yous and an permanent smile imprinted on my face, the last book slammed on the table, "Make it out to Shannon."

I looked up, waiting to see another estatic book worm, instead I was met by someome much more pleasant, "Jared!"

Jared smiled, walking around the table to reunite. "It's great to see you again. After Haiti I thought you fell off the face of the Earth or something."

I chuckled, "I thought the same for you. Although I believe my time under the radar was more constructive." I smirk, glancing towards the posters for my book signing.

He shrugs, "Well I'm still working on my project. Perfection takes time you know."

I roll my eyes, concealing a laugh. "Well Maybe you need me on Team Jared don't you?"

With wide eyes, he says "I accept that Challenge." Pulling his hands out of his pockets, he grabbed a napkin and a pen from the table a wrote down an address. "Meet me at this place Friday. Call time is 6 in the morning."

I try to decline as he folds the napkin into my hand, "Oh gosh I've got so many things then, I don't think-"

"Don't think just do, Dawson!" Jared yells as he walks out the door.

I sigh, opening the napkin, "6102 Grail Place."

As I shove the napkin into my pocket, I grab my jacket from the chair and head back to my hotel.
