Dawson's P.O.V.:

The days leading up to Wednesday were stressful. I had not worn a bathing suit since the time Cameron  and I were together, even then I was reluctant to be in one.

On Tuesday night, I started to pack my bag for the next morning. I got all my things together and even tried on my bathing suit on, which in retrospect probably wasn't the best idea. As I looked at myself in the mirror my nerves became even more fried. I tried to push the horrible thoughts out my head, because I knew Jared wasn't that shallow.

I looked at Evana who was sitting like a princess on my pillows, licking her paws.

"Eva stop!" I say, snapping my fingers. She looks up at me with apologetic eyes. I raise my eyebrows and she comes to me, wagging her tail.

"I wonder if Jared would be okay if you came along." I ask Eva, pulling out my phone. I send Jared a quick text on Eva's behalf:

"Jared, its Evana. I am very upset because I was not invited to your party. I hear it will be the hippest party around and that all the hot dogs will be there. Please explain why I was not invited. Thank you."

I laugh, then grab Evana and hug her. She lets out a few barks before  I set her down to reach for my phone. Jared responded with:

"Oh Evana! I am so sorry. Please accept this message as your formal invitation to the Leto Experience happening on this upcoming Wednesday. Hope to see you there!"

I smile and show Eva, "Its official Eva."

She barks, confirming her reservation.

I finish packing soon after and wait for the familiar purr of Jared's truck.

{Wednesday Afternoon.}

I click Evana's collar on her and hook her up to her leash, getting ready for Jared to knock on the door. The sound of his footsteps shuffling at the door makes me smile. He always takes a minute or two after arriving at my door to actually knock.  I don't understand.

When he finally does knock on the door, Evana barks, as if she already didn't know he was there. Her loud voice is amplified as if there were three of her, all telling me to get the damn door. I grab her leash, my purse, and bag then open the door.

"Ready?" He asks, reaching for Eva's leash and my swimming bag.

I nod, handing them over and closing the door, "Yeah! Let's go."

We head down to his car, where he sets Eva in the back seat with my bag. I slide into the passenger's seat, then Jared into the driver's. Before starting the car, he looks over at me with a big smile. When I join his gaze, He leans in and gently kisses me.

I stay still, and when he pulls away, I can't help but smile. He does too, looking at me for a few seconds. I reach for his hand, and he obliges, then starts the car.

When we get to his house, he parks, then brings Eva out  and my bag. He leads us to the back where Shannon, Tomo, and Vicki, Tomo's wife. Jared had told me about them, especially Tomo.

As Jared trails off, he locks the gate and takes Evana off her leash. He places my bag on a chair and slips inside.

"Aye!" Shannon yells, walking towards me with a smiling face, open arms, and a drink. Tomo and Vicki follow with huge grins.

Shannon hugs me tight, then hands me a drink, "How've you been sweetheart?"

I nod, smiling at him. "I've been good."

"Yeah I'm sure my brother has been too." He nudges my arm and winks. Before I can react, Tomo and Vicki walk up.

"Tomo, this is Dawson. Dawson, this is Tomo and Vicki. Tomo is our guitarist." Shannon gestured towards the couple.
