It is the passion that is in a kiss that gives to it its sweetness; it is the affection in a kiss that sanctifies it.

It had been hours since Darius left the mansion without a word which only made Stacey anxious. No one knew where he had gone. Hope tried her best to assure Stacey but in vain. As the house staff left for their places, Stacey was left alone in the living room. Stella was still sleeping.

After completing her work on the laptop, Stacey kept it aside and rubbed her eyes. Sighing, she looked at the wall clock which struck quarter past ten. She went upstairs and kept her laptop in her room. She went into Stella's room and closed the door softly. She smiled as the light of the moon illuminated Stella's face. She looked angelic and peaceful while sleeping. Stacey gently stroked her daughter's cheek and hair. Stella leant into her mother's touch and smiled softly.

Stella stirred and opened her violet eyes. Rubbing her eyes, she let out a yawn. Her eyes widened slightly as she stared at Stacey. She sat on the bed and hugged her mother tightly. Her arms went around Stacey's waist and her face was pressed under Stacey's neck. Stacey's arms wrapped around Stella as she kept her chin on Stella's head. Her right hand rubbed soothing circles on Stella's who let out a sigh.

After a while Stella slightly pulled away from Stacey an kissed her cheek.

"I missed you, momma." A lone tear fell from her left eye.

Stacey wiped it away and kissed Stella's forehead softly. Smiling at her daughter, she said, "Momma is sorry for hurting you, baby but always remember that I love you a lot."

Stella sniffled and nodded her head happily.

"I love momma so much." Stella opened her arms widely to show how much she loved Stacey.

Stacey laughed lightly at Stella and hugged her again.

"I hungry, momma." Stella pouted and rubbed her tummy.

"Dinner is ready, sweetie. Come on, let us go downstairs to fill this little belly of yours." Stacey tickled Stella who let out a squeal.

Both of them went downstairs. Stella settled at the table an looked around. As Stacey placed the plate of Bow Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto Sauce in front of Stella, she jumped off her chair and hugged her mother's legs. Letting out a squeal and giggle, she started eating her dinner happily. Stacey smiled at her daughter who shared her school routine with her.

Stacey was now doing dishes when Stella asked, "Momma, where Sun?"

Stacey stopped doing dishes as the pain in her heart came back. The time she spent with her daughter serves as a distraction. She did not forget about Darius but the pain was less than before. Now as she turned around and gazed down at frowning Stella, she felt her heart squeezing in her chest. The lump formed in her throat as her eyes blurred with unshed tears. She did not know what to tell Stella for she herself knew nothing yet.

Stacey was spared from answering an innocent yet hurting question of Stella as her cell phone went off. Stella ran into the living room, forgetting the unanswered question she just asked her mother and picked up the phone whilst Stacey washed and dried away her hands. She went into the living room to find Stella happily talking to the person who had called them.

Stella looked at Stacey and nodded her head but then she realized that the caller could not see her so she face palmed herself and said, "I so stupid sometimes. Momma here. You talk."

Handing over the phone to Stacey, Stella went upstairs in her room as if she knew that her mother needed some privacy.

"Hello." Stacey said with uncertainty.
