When everything goes to hell, the people who stand by you without flinching- they are your family.

Stacey smiled at Oliver and Stella who were setting the pillows in their respective lit up blanket forts which they had built with the help of the adults. It was Stella's idea to have the sleepover in the fort in the living room. Stella was so excited about testing her idea that Darius did not find the heart to say her no even though he was completely against the idea of letting Oliver stay in the fort with Stella.

After showing Oliver the entire mansion which he had already seen but did not interrupt Stella as he knew that she was happy to give him a tour, she finally took him to her room. She was complaining about the color scheme of the house and how much she missed the house when all her movements ceased at once.

Oliver frowned as Stella stopped talking and stood rooted to her place. Following her gaze, he found the massive brown soft toy in the middle of the bed with red sewn 'Welcome home, Princess' on it. As he sensed that Stella was shocked so he picked up the teddy bear with slight difficulty but he managed to take it to Stella who blinked her eyes twice before latching herself on the giant soft bear which was still held by Oliver. Before he could register what was happening, he lost his balance and landed on the floor with a loud thud. Stella gasped once she realized that she was now only hugging the air and looked down at he floor where Oliver was groaning in pain. Stella hurriedly took the bear and kept it beside Oliver. Biting her lower lip, she helped him to sit up properly. The apology that fell from her lips was barely above a choked out whisper but Oliver heard it in the silence of the room and clenched his tiny fist on finding the tear sliding down her left cheek. Wordlessly, he hugged her and let her know that he was fine which Stella did not believe but let it go as Oliver started tickling her.

Now the forts were ready to be used. The kids admired their dwellings for the night and high fived each other. Their forts were almost similar. The only difference was that Stella chose some floral blankets to be used whilst Oliver went with navy blue. Other then that both their forts were decorated with fairy lights and Darius even managed to hand some stars in them.
