NOVEMBER SEVENTH, 20xx.  ENTRY 1.

We all wish we could go back to those important moments in life. To relive them, to experience them once more. That is impossible though. Time machines are just fiction. I am making these entries to keep track of what is going on. We all have those times where we hear others say "oh! If only I could go back!" But given that power...what would we really do?

"Hey dad, do you think I can drive?" I turned to my dad as we walked to the truck.
"Oh sure!" He grinned, handing me the keys. "You are sixteen now, after all."  I snatched the keys from him and jumped inside, turning it on and waiting for my father to join. It took a few tries before the engine would start in the old rusted car that smelt slightly of cigarettes. I rolled down the dim and cloudy windows to allow some air flow, since the ac had been busted since last summer. We drove down the backroads to get home. We both loved the backroads, they were so peaceful and had little traffic. "Dad, do you remember the first time you let me sit in your lap and turn the wheel while we drove in a parking lot?" He let out a light chuckle. "Yes, I remember. That seemed so long ago.." I smiled, seeing him grin reflectively out the corner of my eye. Then, the car jerked suddenly. I heard a loud pop. It felt like a shotgun had gone off in my face.

Dad? Everything is dark...where are you? What's happening? Is that...blood? Am I bleeding? Dad?? Dad where are you? I can't hear you...are those sirens?..

I could suddenly see again, a hospital? I looked around in a daze.  I saw my parents. Oh thank God...my dad is okay.. "She's awake!" My mother said overjoyed. I was suddenly greeted by two hugs and two worried parents.  "You were in a coma...it's been a week, we were so worried.." My father said. My mother, meanwhile, was in tears and had to leave the room. I was checked out of the hospital the next day. As cliché as this whole scenario was, I should have probably seen that car coming. The airbag had caused more damage then the actual accident. No one else was hurt except me. Concussion, broken nose, cuts. and bruises covering every every part of my body.

I'm so tired of this.
