Computers Are A Girl's Best Friend
Not gonna lie,
I spend hours on the computer,
Playing games,
Shooting zombies,
Trying to be somebody else
I don't stalk Facebook,
Or curse out MySpace,
I don't tweet every ten seconds,
Or search my favourite bands
Instead I sit there,
Looking for pictures of pretty people,
To play who I wish I was,
Or looking for cute boys,
To play jerks like him
Or I play with something,
Called a virtual pet,
They are very life like,
Not really
You can pet or feed them,
Play with them,
Clean them,
Dress them up,
Like little dolls,
Except you can't touch them,
Because they're just some program,
They don't exist,
Never will,
Never did
Yet how is it,
That I made so many great friends?
And became so addicted,
To something inside a box,
Like a television,
Programmed and prerecorded,
But so amusing,
So entertainingly beautiful
Or maybe I'm a unicorn,
Dashing through stars,
And through the sky,
With weird dolphins,
Cause nothing makes sense
Or maybe I'm playing a team game,
Using my abilities,
Defeating giants as I despereatly,
Try not to die,
And try not to yell,
Can't control anything but you
Sometimes the website is blocked,
Or messed up,
And I can't play it,
So I just keep searching,
Looking for something to do,
Since I have no life
Or maybe the site is dead,
Or dying still,
Bleeding slowly,
Until being shut down
Whoever said we need diamonds,
Was horribly mistaken,
Since I own none,
And they would be useless
No, my computer,
Is probably my best friend,
As it is,
To most American teens,
Since fitness fell out of style,
And texting came into its place.
