Chapter Eighteen: Opal...?

Atami POV

We finally made it to a Island & when we set foot on it the people around ran away, that usually doesn't happen. We entered a bar & the bartender was sweating, also everyone was shaking

"Why are we like, the most feared people on the Island?"

"I have no idea."

"I-It seems like you h-haven't red the newspaper y-yet." a man gave us one then hurried away, it only took a second before my jaw hung low & my eyes were wide

"What is it women!?" I give him the paper & soon enough he does the same, it says

FIRE FIST ACE & THE WATER WITCH ATAMI WORK TOGETHER TO THE DEFEAT A FLEET OF MARINES. PHOTOGRAPHER EARNED A LOT OF MONEY FOR THE PICTURE, THEIR NEW NAME TOGETHER IS: THE DEMON DUO.

The picture was us back to back, smirking, with the background either on fire or there was ice. We threw the paper away & looked at the bartender

"When did that just, arrive?"

"About a couple of hours ago..."

"Welp... we're like the most feared Pirate now. Oh wait look at this, our bounty's have been risen." mine was 600,000,000,000 & his was 550,000,000 "Still can't beat me little bro!"

"Shut the hell up!"

"Hah!" we walk out but before we do I was able to snatch a Log Pose from a drunk man "See ya later Ace, it was great spending time with you again."

"Yeah, lets hope we meet again." I smile & nod. I turn around & they noticed that something was missing, where is Opal? I look around & see a big tall building, I shrug & go towards it

'Maybe she wandered in there... maybe.'

Once I was near it I noticed it was a very fancy building, their was a red carpet, a giant door & a lot of stairs. I groaned & jumped to the top of the stairs & saw two men, dressed in butler outfits

"Can I come in?"

"Are you a Pirate?"

"Yes." the two moved to the doors & opened them. When I walked in it was a big classy Casino, I've never been to one so this is gonna be fun

"How can I help you m'am?" the bartender asked

"No need to say m'am, just call me Atami." he's eyes widen but he was able to keep his cool

"So, is the other guy here?"

"You mean Ace? no he's not, he just left. Why?"

"You two are very famous now."

"You mean imfamous."

"Yeah yeah, & if the both of you came here it would have created chaos."

"Okay, but I want to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"Have you seen a tall girl with long black hair with orange streaks?"

"Well, we did have a new shipment on... slaves." he whispered the last part into my ear, I look down at his ankle & notice a chain "We're all slaves here, everyone else is a pirate." I look around & see a collar around their necks

"What do those things do? around their necks."

"Is you try to take them off by force they... explode." I touch my neck as I look at them

"I need to find Opal."

"If you can't find her here, you have to go to the basement. They changed it to the Staff Room so people won't snoop around."

"Thanks, I'll try & free you as well." he nodded. I walk around & see others with the same collars around their necks, I swear I'll free them all. I walk pass a pirate captain & hear this

"Hey, you know that Fire Fist Kid?" this guy said, I walk backwards & eavesdrop

"Yeah I know him, the son of Gol D. Roger."

"I don't know why he's still alive, he shouldn't be living." the two started laughing, I glare at the pirates & smash their heads on the table, breaking it in the process. I walk away, hearing them groan in pain

"Fucking assholes, never talk about him like that ever again..." I mumble to myself. I wasn't able to find Opal so she must be in the 'basement' but how am I going to get down their without being spotted.

That's when my eyes landed a spear outfit, its better then nothing. I take it & put it on, it had a white blouse & a black vest, a black skirt [not to long nor short] & underneath were black leggings. I had black high heel boots on & still had my fedora, I grabbed an empty tray & walk down the basement

"Its so dark down here..." that's when I started to glow "This is weird." I shrugged it off & when I was at the bottom I stopped glowing, I saw other slaves in cells with sea prism stone chains on cuffs

'Sucks to be them...'

"Master?" I look at the last cage & see Opal, I run down to her & broke the cage in the process

"Opal, how did you end up here?" I went to touch the sea prism stone but I got burnt instead "What the hell?!"

"I think sea prism stone doesn't weaken us, but it hurts us."

"I have two weaknesses now." I pull out my sword & break both of the chains

"To answer your question, when you & Ace went into the bar I was going to follow until someone knocked me out & pulled me to this Casino. All of these people down here are Devil Fruit Users, but me."

"That's fucked up."

"You got that right, these people down here have been suffering..."

"Well I'm going to help them."

"Hey you! what are you doing out of your cage?!"

"Reasons!" when I stood up he looked like he was going to piss his pants

"W-W-Water Witch Atami!!"

"So you've heard of me, a shame really."

"How?"

"I have to get rid of you now." that's when he fainted "These guys ain't even brave, what shitty pirates."

"I know." I roll my eyes as I walk up to the guy, I take his keys & look back at Opal, she used the wall to left herself back up "Lets free these people & get outta here."
