Chapter 2: Out Of The Ruins
You woke up, rubbing my eyes to clear up your sight. You sat up from bed, looking at your surroundings and got a little goofy smile plastered on your face.
That was real. I'm just glad it wasn't all a dream.
You made your way towards the kitchen, greeting Asriel and Toriel in the process.
*Time Skip because I feel lazy*
You stood outside the door towards outside the ruins, waiting patiently for Toriel.
You looked at my F/C watch to see it was afternoon. About 1 pm.
"Sorry for the wait, my child." Toriel apologized, approaching me.
"How about Asriel? Isn't he coming?" You asked.
"Asriel is playing in the Living Room. He chose to stay." Toriel replied.
You nodded understandingly as you watched her open the large door.
You were met by a very long hallway, with purple floor covers. You followed Toriel's steps towards the light. You feel excited and scared at the same time whether the monsters will reject you or like you.
"There is usually a maze of puzzles in this room but I created a shortcut in preparation for a human's arrival." Toriel explained and showed me a shortcut towards a snowy place.
"It's called Snowdin." Toriel smiled at me. I say her grin this time is sluggy one. "What's that grin for?" You questioned her playfully.
She chuckled. "I just think you might end up liking someone."
You just smiled at her answer but you didn't exactly know what you should say in response.
(Let's pretend you like puns but never get to make puns. You just like listening to them.)
"Well..." Toriel stated. "Are you attracted to goofy people?"
You don't know why is she asking this but you'll answer her anyway.
"Kinda'." You replied with a shrug.
"How about funny yet sweet people?"
"Hmm, yep." You answered and continued to look at the snow on the ground. You started to shiver within the thick snow breeze.
You rubbed your hands together to keep yourself warm but it didn't seem to work. Toriel looked at you concerned, but she doesn't have any material to cover you in the coldness.
"Oh, Y/N, I am very sorry for this. I forgot how humans are sensitive to temperature." Toriel spoke, worry found in her voice.
"But I know someone who can help you!" Toriel's voice suddenly snapped to positivity. She held your arm as you two ran through the snow and reached a snow town. Two love-dogs started sniffing around but Toriel just made you pass by them.
There were only a few monsters standing by, talking to each other. Soon, their eyes averted towards you. You felt uncomfortable with all of their gazes upon you. You started to feel like you're being towered and your insecurity plunges.
Toriel noticed your expression so you two ran passed the monster crowds and into a small semi-igloo. You entered the igloo which was still cold but less than the outside.
"What is this?" You asked Toriel. "It's a shortcut, Y/N!" You nodded.
You and Toriel exited the place and met two houses. The other looks happy and warm while the other generally looks more like a garage of some sort.
