Chapter 5: His Closet

You stopped staring at Sans' flustered expression. You thought it might be creepy of you to do so. "So, Sans.. who am I meeting?" You asked.

"Oh! Uh, the-the others. We won't be able to meet everyone at once so it might take a few days to finish the introduction. But right now, I think you might need, what Frisk calls, a shower." Sans said. "I heard how hygiene is important. Mostly, to flesh but to me, that's gone now."

You nodded then started walking towards the Skelebros' house. He follows from behind you. You inserted several thoughts in your mind as you entered the tunnel.

What could Sans be possibly thinking about to make him fluster that much? You asked in curiosity. But that's not really important...is it?

You met the two skeletons' shelter and knocked on it. You checked behind you to see if Sans is still trailing behind but he's not there. Wait... You looked around you to find him gone.

"Did he left me?" You asked yourself. "I hope it's a positive reason for him to leave."

You don't know why you sound like he shouldn't leave your side. Is he that special to you? Why aren't you worrying about the others like Papyrus and Frisk but worry about him more?

"HI, Y/N! GLAD YOU MET GRILLBY'S! I THINK IT'S YOUR HUMAN-Y BUSINESS TO TAKE A SHOWER NOW! FRISK JUST DID!" Papyrus, as usual, exclaimed. "ANYWAYS Y/N, WHERE IS MY BROTHER?"

Your face frowned at the thought of 'leaving'. "I don't know. He just vanished after we went here." You replied in mild timidity.

Papyrus places a hand on your shoulder as a sign of encouragement and confidence. "DON'T BE DOWN, Y/N. SANS NATURALLY TELEPORTS TO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS BUT I NEVER KNEW WHY EVEN THOUGH I LIVED MY WHOLE LIFE WITH HIM!...WELL, NOT ACTUALLY 'MY WHOLE LIFE' BUT APPROXIMATELY HALF OF IT!" Papyrus stood up and flushes you a smile before he left to do whatever his business he has in mind.

You smiled at his sign of understanding then closed the door behind you. You went towards the direction Papyrus went into which is the Kitchen. You slightly peek in since your shouting voice isn't as loud as his so you couldn't really predict whether he'll hear you while doing his Kitchen work or not.

"Papyrus, where's the bathroom?"

"BY THE NEXT FLOOR! YOU'LL IMMEDIATELY SEE IT! UNLIKE I WHO HAS EYESOCKETS IN EXCHANGE FOR ACTUAL CLEAR HUMAN EYES!" Papyrus replied, starting to pour the pasta sticks into a pan on top of the flame of the stove.

"Thanks!" You followed his directions and, based off what he said, did immediately found it.

You peeked in and saw natural bathroom equipments. Some for skeletons and some for humans. The human section might be because of Frisk living here. Or did Toriel started reading books and facts about humans to gain more knowledge. After all, she wanted to become a teacher.

You saw a towel hung by the bathroom appendages and saw a tag sticked to it.

"FOR THE HUMAN IF THERE WILL ANOTHER ONE ENTERING.

- Papyrus
and Sans

(SANS, YOU KNOW ME WRITING THIS WOULD BE A MILLION TIMES BETTER.)"

You laughed at their bond in the note but accepted the lime green towel. You locked the door and did your usual bathroom businesses.

*TIME SKIP*

You walked out of the shower with the towel wrapped around you. Luckily, it was big so it really wrapped around your body well. You already brushed your hair before going outside the room, though.

You walked to Sans' room, hoping he's not there at the point since... you know...

You walked in and saw him looking in his closet. You peeked in before entering, though. He looked confused and curious.

"It's not yet the end, Sans. What are you expecting? There are still different timelines and you have to accept the fact that I'm here to guide yours."

"Why would I be, Chara?" Sans spat out sarcastically.

"Even if this timeline reached its 'ending' under its tale, it still can be reseted. Just press the button, Sans. I know you want to change more things in the past than you know it." 'Chara' spoke, attempting to convince the skeleton.

"Like what? As if I want to change anything!" Sans fought.

"Well... you surely wanted to change the past at the time where you didn't press the button because you'll experience this!"

"Wh-What?" Sans questioned, confused.

A whisk giant hand smack Sans out of his position, crashing him onto his room's wall. Sans stood up, trying to fight his pain.

You stepped back from the scene, accidentally creating a creaking sound saying that somebody is nearby the room.

The hand diminished and Sans closed the doors of his closet immediately, and fixed himself in preparation.

You sighed in relief that he's okay from that attack and managed to go inside. "Hey, Sans." You greeted, trying to sound happy from the sight.

"H-Hi...Y/N." But Sans is the one trying his hardest to sound cheerful and intacted.

"I kinda', uh, have no more human clothing, so..." You said.

"Oh, r-right. 'Human clothes' by that orange cabinet." Sans pointed but his arm started shaking weakly. He instantly hid the symptom. "Papyrus told me to p-prepare in case of humans falling into the hole, y-ya know what I'm sayin'?" You nodded then rummaged for some clothes that would be suitable for you.

"I need...privacy." You told him, slightly blushing.

He just turned around and looks like he's guarding that closet instead of minding the 'privacy thing' going in.

You wore the clothes which was a F/C shirt, indigo slacks, and -insert shoes here-. You took a quick brush of your hair then checked on Sans.

He's whispering to the weird monster in his closet as you overheard their conversation.

"Press it before I force you to." The voice in the closet demanded.

"NO!" Sans yelled in anger.

Two demonic black hands wraps around his arms and throws him to the ground in strong force.

"S-Sans!" You went to him, comforting him. "What is happening?"

"N-Not now." Sans stood up and faced the creature in the closet. "I'll deal with you later."

He turned back and shut the door as you followed him. Sans groaned in pain and sat on the corridor's floor, leaning against the wall next to his room.

"Sorry to see me like this." Sans brings his knees up to his chest and hides his face under his arms.

You sat next to him then hugged him. "I'm just glad you're okay."

He looked at you, tears in his eyes and a tint of blue blush spread across his cheeks. "Do you really care?" He asked.

"Of course I do! But what's that creature-thing?" You asked.

"I'll tell you later." Sans mumbled.

Awkward silence lingered before you heard quiet snoring beside you. Sans fell asleep, his head leaning on your shoulder.

This made you smile.
