You two are walking in a really cold path and snowflakes are often seen. You adored snowflakes but at this point? You didn't. The coldness bothered you but you don't want Sans noticing. You didn't want him to worry about you.
"I noticed your feeling cold," you heard Sans say. You glance down at him seeing him give you his usual grin. But this time, he isn't wearing his jacket.
"Here," he lend his blue jacket to you.
"N-No, you don't have to—" You tried to insist but he interrupted you.
"I want to." Sans affirms. You swear you saw him blue sky blue as he stated it.
You smiled at his attitude and let yourself sink to his warm jacket as you walk down the freezy road. You two were met by ridgey earth and lilypads. When you place them in a row, they bloom and enables you to step on it like a bridge.
You traveled through the waterfall landscape and looked around your surroundings. You saw a child that looks like a garlic.
"I never seen stars before. Are you a star?"
"Don't mind that kid, Y/N. He randomly says that. We just don't know why." Sans told you.
You couldn't think of a topic so you brought a category about the creativity of putting purple crystals to symbolize as stars. "The crystals really support as a good star, don't you think?" You spoke looking up at the underground "sky".
"Yeah. But now that the barrier is broken, we get to see actual stars. Well… we haven't yet. The darkness in the humans' part seems harmful. We are indecisive about the idea of going out during nighttime or not." You felt kind of bad for the monsters not being able to handle darkness of the nighttime. Maybe they got used to their kind of nighttime making them feel uncomfortable towards the natural penumbra of Earth.
The pathways was full of puddles in the way. Luckily, there are umbrellas prepared at the side. You took one and opened it.
"Oh I forgot..!" You placed the umbrella down for a while and started removing the jacket. "I forgot to return it..! I-I'm sorry, Sans. I just got…"
"It's okay, Y/N." Sans said.
You two stared at each other; you not knowing what to say. But you can see that Sans was expecting something from you.
"So..? You were just what?" Sans reminded you.
You felt your cheeks heat up mildly but smiled to hide it. Apparantly, it was an awkward smile. "I…liked the warmth of your jacket… I mean loved." You said. You mentally facepalmed for correcting yourself. You felt embarrassed at your answer so you turned away and picked up the umbrella.
You haven't heard Sans speak so you looked at him who had a sky blue blush on his face. You chuckled causing a confused expression on his face.
"Wha-What are you laughing at?" Sans stuttered with an innocent face.
"You're blushing." You answered and laughed even more. You couldn't help but chuckle at his flustered expression. You just found at adorable.
You stopped laughing at the thought about Sans' flustered face. You noticed tension building up between the two of you so you went back beside him and walked, you cautiously avoiding the puddles.
"So, who are we meeting first?" You asked the short skeleton.
"Hmm… we're gonna meet Temmie. But a weird sea onion will pop-up." Sans said.
"Sea onion?" You questioned.
The pathway was now a dim place where the only source of light was the gentle blue crystal stars shimmering. You got astonished by the view of the castle and the crystals.
You and Sans paused at the middle of the way. "Beautiful view, isn't it?" You asked with awe.
"But," Sans intruded. You looked at him and saw a deep blue blush on his face. "But not as beautiful as you." Even though that was a mumble, you heard it because of how silent the place is.
You blushed then smiled. "You're just saying that." You played. He shook his head. "Nope. Totally true."
You didn't know what to say at that point so you turned to your east and motioned yourself to continue even though silent times with him is comforting.
You walked and met a weird lake. The room was silent that it creeped you out.
You felt comfort suddenly built within you. You didn't noticed that you held Sans' hand. You yanked it awat softly but ended up getting flustered.
He was holding it with his boney hands tightly. You looked at him as he looked back at you. He winked.
You were screaming openly inside but was completely dumbfounded outside.
"Don't be scared." Sans comforted you holding your hand tighter, adding the safety you're currently feeling. "…except when…" you didn't heard his mumbled annexation to his statement of comfort so you shrugged it off.
"Oh yeah… 'Sea Onion'." Sans said. "I mean 'Lake'."
You looked at the water to see a light yellow creature with a weird adorable face that resembles a bit of… anime..? (Wait whut.)
Its tentacles spread gently above the surface of the water and its eyes averted towards you.
This ain't a cliffhanger. Just got tired in typing. Bye~
