Chapter 14

The chirping of the birds and passing by vehicles easily awoken in you from your slumber. You were usually woken up by the silence of the underground but the surrounding's background noise sounds more like...the surface.

You opened your eyes, meeting a white ceiling and a whole new bedroom. Your memories flashed back as you remembered that you and the others recently just moved into a hotel and will stay in for a week but you still haven't find out the reason.

You were a human and humans usually live in the surface, which is called earth, but the underground felt like the real home for you. Ironically, monsters aren't monsters. They look like monsters, but they're characters are so nice and approachable. The feeling of homesick rushed through your head.

Staying on your homeworld is okay but staying at your home is much better.

You opened your eyes to break your thoughts and woke up. You stretched your arms and gave a little morning yawn. You rubbed your eyes as it cleared your sluggish vision.

You looked to your left where you met a glass window. You looked outside and saw the road with vehicles passing by and people walking by the pavement. Neighbors are there to be greeted. Specifically, neighbor storekeepers. Beside this hotel was an audio shop filled with music players and albums.

You stretched your legs and hopped off bed. Of course, you made your bed and fixed your morning tangles.

*After morning preparations*

You sat nearby the electric fan in the Living room to dry your hair as you squeeze it to help it become dryer with your hair towel.

Toriel passed by, a tray of cookies in hand and she places them on the table, putting the golden flower in the vase to the side.

"Good morning, Y/N. You're up early and prepared." Toriel gave a sweet smile to you as she set the tray of cookies down, the mouthwatering aroma filling your nosetrils.

"Yep. What cookie flavor?" You asked, adoring the cookies infront of you. But of course, the credit was to the amazing mother, Toriel.

"Butterscotch flavor was a custom flavor to my menu selection so I chose something different for you to try. It's Apple & Cinnamon." Toriel explained.

You nodded before having a staring contest with the cookies.

You have/haven't tried Apple & Cinnamon before but there's something odd about Toriel's cookies.

They look a lot delicious and that's not odd.

"Taste test." Toriel chuckled and lend you some. You thanked her and took one. It was still hot so you assume it will bring more taste. (And that's a fact. *winks*)

You took a bite and your eyes widened in shock.

IT TASTES A LOT MORE DELICIOUS THAN IT LOOKS AND THAT'S NOT ODD.

Toriel laughed at your expression, but at the same time, she's as satisfied as you. She clapped at the excitement of you liking her new baking flavor.

"This is really good." You said in between bites. You swallowed. "I mean it."

"Thanks, Y/N! Take more if you want but leave some for the rest!" Toriel went towards...somewhere.

You took some more but not that many.

Mettaton walked in and smiled at you when he saw you. He was heading towards the door that leads towards the hallway.

"Where are you going?" You asked him curiously.

Mettaton turned to you to reply, his hand on his hip. "Well, my star slumber already went in my beauty vacation but, a star stays a star, darling!~ And I need to take care of my reputation and career as the star of the underground. Bye, sweetie!~"

"Uhh, bye." You said back but he alreadt left in a turn of his heel...and legs.

Undyne and Alphys walked in the room, smiling when seeing you too.

Undyne is wearing her typical black sleeveless shirt but above it was her denim elbow-lengthed vest, and her skinny jeans with her matching brown boots.
Alphys has her lab coat on but she's wearing an orange shirt and dark blue pedal under it.

They sat beside you on the sofa, taking a bite of the cookies and having the same expression; eyes widening in astonishment, chewing becomes rapid due to unbelievablement towards the amazing taste, and the hand motions that kept hurridly pointing towards the cookie representing how delicious it is.

...yep...

You suddenly felt like a mother for making the reaction born. You were filled with determination. (Jk)

"It tastes so-" Undyne shrieked.

"I know." You cut her off since she trails off her own sentences.

"It's just like-"

"Uh-huh."

"Ohmy my life is-"

"Yeahhhhh...p."

*Time skip*

You just finished now and you're just about to turn towards your room when you heard gasps and fangirl squealing.

You looked behind to see the others gathered around Sans, but Frisk was jumping around, unable to heard the conversation going on.

They saw you look back and gave you weird waves of "hi" and "hello" as if it's your birthday and you're going to treat all your friends but they did something to you.

You raised them an eyebrow. "Uhh, hi..?" You greeted back before awmwardly being watched in entering your room. Well, you and Sans's room.

You heard bursts of laughter from the outside when you just enter. You opened the door and peeked to see them in a completely normal state where they are talking to each other decently, but they look a bit...off.

They transformed into decent conversationalists in captivation of Sans. His eyes are cyan, wherein he's either on demand or angry.

Before you know it, you figured out what's going on already that made your lips give a little smirk.

Aww, Sans was talking about something that's about you and he's hiding it by making the others act all normal when you're around.

You slightly blush but have a cute smile on your lips.

You closed the door slowly and sat on your bed, feeling like a fangirl in the inside, squealing about the simple situation going on, but you felt loved whenever you're around Sans.

He likes you and you like him back. You know what goes after mutual understandings? After crush is always love.

I know the feeling when your crush likes you back. I swear if you feel it, you feel like your OTP just married.
