'Shoot' you think as you run in the hallways to your next class 'I'm running late!' You pick up your pace as you keep cursing yourself 'thanks for sleeping during class, (y/n). I knew I should be stayed home, now the headache's just getting worst'. Next thing you know, you were falling backwards as you had bumped into someone. "Sorry" you say hastily as you get up and tried to help the person you bumped. You tried, but somehow, you couldn't gather any strength, and everything just goes black.
~~~ Infirmary
You sit up groggily as you feel someone touch your forehead. "Huh, where am I?" You look around as your eyes fall on Maki, your best friend. She was glaring at you. "Heh" you could only chuckle nervously as you ask " Is there something you need?" 'Well, that was a stupid question'. " You're asking me?" she screeched as you flinch. "Do you know how worried I was? If you weren't feeling well you should've just stayed home!" "Thanks for worrying for me" was the only thing you could think of to say, you were quite guilty with the thought of making your bast friend worry. "Not like I care or anything" she turned away blushing. You closed the distance between "Thanks for taking care of me while I was out cold" you said, moving even closer. "Not like I did it for you or anything" she says now blushing a even darker shade of red. "That's not how you answer someone who's showing gratitude" you tease her, your nose almost touching hers. "N-not like I-" you lean in to kiss her "Thanks for everything, I love you, Maki". She kisses you back, you smile "It's not like I want to kiss you or anything". You giggled as she continued"It's not like I like you or anything" you pulled away. 'Ouch, that hurt'. Maki seemed to see the change in your attitude and quickly tries to apologize. You just look sadly at your lap " I'm sorry Maki, I wasn't thinking of your feelings when I kissed you" you felt tears welling up in your eyes " Maybe I should just...". "No!" Maki suddenly shouts, you look up at her. "I-I don't just like you, (y/n), I love you!" You stare at her blankly as you try to process her words. "I'm sorry (y/n), I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." You then regain your playful smirk as you whisper in her year before kissing her again "Not like I really care as long as you are with me..."
