A/N: I'm back from the dead!! XD, welp...Here's a kanamari to make up for all that missed time...still doing requests too!
Btw, Mari's English is in italicized form, thoughts are also in italicized...but I think u can tell the differences.
"Kanan!" Mari yells excitedly as she glomps on her excited. "Guess what??"
Kanan frowns under the sudden weight. "What?"
"Guess! :D" Mari continues.
"Um...did you get a new horse for riding or something?"
"Nope! I have you for that! XD"
"M-mari!!" Kanan shouts, face red.
"It's joke~" Mari grins while doing her signature pose that goes along with this line.
Kanan sighs face still red. "So...what is it?"
Mari starts to talk again as Kanan gets lost in her thoughts. It's been a few months since she came back and us being in a school idol group again. If I could go back in time and change anything, I wouldn't have let Mari go. I would support her choice to continue with school idols. I wouldn't turn her down. No, I wouldn't. And more than that, I would tell her how I feel about her. About...how much I love her.
Unknown to Kanan, Mari quiets down as she sees guilt crowd Kanan's eyes. Is she really still...thinking about that? Mari stares silently as she walks away leaving Kanan to her thoughts.
*timeskip;the next day in the morning*
Kanan jolts awake as she looks around her. Looking at the time, she decides to get dressed and prepare for school after her daily morning jog. Walking out to the shop, Kanan stresses as she sees her grandpa carrying heavy stuff.
"I'll help!" She says immediately not wanting her grandpa's foot to get any worst. "Geez...you shouldn't be carrying this all by yourself...what about your foot?"
"My foot...?" Her grandpa looks at her quizically. "What do you mean?"
"Your...broken...foot."
Her grandpa laughs. "Ah, teenager these days, always so indirect... If you want to help, just say so. Don't go making lies about my foot!"
Kanan looks honestly confused as she hears knocks at the door. "I-i'll get it..."she mumbles walking to the door opening it.
"Yo~ Kanan!" Mari eyes light up as she sees Kanan.
"Hi-" Kanan trails off as she sees a sight she hasn't seen in...well, two years. There Dia was also standing behind Mari huffing slightly as if she was dragged here. What most surprised Kanan though was...the color of the ribbons. Yellow. Representing color of the first years.
"Mari..." Kanan feels her throat go dry. "You're wearing the wrong..." she trails off. "Color for the ribbon..."
Mari looks down before looking up at Kanan. "...what?"
"You're supposed to be wearing... " the words die on her tongue.
"Are you ok??" Mari asks concerned. "...are you still worrying about the live? Don't let it affect you."
"What?"
"...it takes tons of courage to sing in front of an audience, we don't blame you! We still have next year after all!"
