Jessie's POV:
Troy and I set up the table and sorted drinks for everyone and then sat at the table waiting for Sally and James to come in with the food.
Troy looked at me and I grinned back at him. "What's got you so happy?" He asked.
"Just that I've finally got to meet your parents after all this time." I grinned.
After a few more minutes Sally and James came into the dining room with plates of food and set them down in front of us.
"Thanks mum." Troy spoke.
"No problem sweetie, I'm just glad that you've finally brought Jessie to meet us. I have been waiting and waiting for you to introduce us, you certainly did take your time." She laughed.
"Sorry mum, with the gang and everything it just got hectic. Besides it was actually Jessie's idea to come and see you." He replied.
I blushed slightly, "I just wanted to meet his parents as we've been together for a while now and if I left it up to Troy it wouldn't be for ages until we met."
"Don't be silly sweetheart you don't need to explain yourself; I'm just glad my little boy has found someone that makes him happy." Sally spoke.
"Mum." Troy groaned.
"Oh shush you, you'll always be my little boy whether you like it or not." She told him.
I couldn't help but giggle at the sight in front of me, Troy blushing and Sally stood beside the table with her hands on her hips looking at Troy.
"Find something funny Kitten?" Troy smirked.
"Yes the fact your mum can make you blush and get embarrassed." I giggled.
"What is this everyone gang up on Troy day?" He pouted.
"Oh Troy grow up, your a grown man now, none of this pouting malarkey that you used to do when you didn't get your way when you were younger." James butted in.
This caused Sally and I to laugh once again.
"Aww its okay babe I still love you." I told him through my giggles.
We all started eating, "Wow this lasagna is amazing!" I moaned.
"Thanks Sweetheart, the sauce is an old family recipe. Hopefully I'll get to pass it down to you." She said.
"I hope so too." I smiled and blushed.
Troy reached across under the table and rubbed my leg with a grin on his face.
Troy's POV:
Just hearing my mum's approval of Jess made me so pleased, even if they didn't get along there is no way that I wouldn't be with Jessie but this just makes it so much easier that I know that my parents and her get along.
After we had eaten we all headed in to the lounge where my mum and Jess sat on the sofa and my dad and I were both in arm chairs.
All of a sudden my mum got up and ran over to the cupboard. 'Oh no not that cupboard,' I thought.
She came back over with a grin on her face and I let out a loud groan.
"Mum really?" I asked.
"Yes, I think Jessie would love to see all the pictures I have of you." She laughed.
"I would." She agreed nodding her head.
"There it's settled then." My mum finalised.
I knew there was no point arguing as she would just find a way to show them anyway.
