Chapter 14

Angel:

I had encouraged Steven to take off for his business trip that I would be fine we still had a few weeks till the baby got here.

With a lot of second guessing himself he finally got on the plane and left.

He kept calling and texting every hour after he landed in Italy.

I was relaxing on the couch and he had been gone for about three days now.

Bling

Another text came through as I reached for my phone.

How are you love is the baby coming yet miss you and love you I will be back in just a few more days I promise. Everything is going great and I got the deal settled may even be able to come early. S.

I roll my eyes same thing as the last several texts I reply the same thing hearing the tick of the keys as I touch each letter.

Steven honey I'm fine the baby isn't coming for a few more weeks I told you that already. I'm relaxing on the couch like the last time you text me which was only an hour ago stop freaking out. As for you coming home early I would love to have you home with me but you got to take care of work. Love you see you when you get back and I promise if anything changes I will let you know. Till then A.

The swoosh sounded letting me know it sent as I set my phone down next to me on the couch.

I struggle to get up and waddle to the bathroom as the urge to pee hits me.

I do my business and make it back to the living room as the first pain hits me.

I groan and rub my hand on my stomach as it eases off.

I call out to Sabrina and she runs in the room followed by her husband.

She has a look of worry on her face and speed walks to me.

"What's wrong Angel is the baby coming do I need to get your bag and get you to the hospital?" She says as she goes to get my bag.

I rub my stomach and sit back down relaxing back against the cushion.

"No I just had what I think is a contraction it just shocked me is all sorry didn't mean to scare you. Just thought I would let you know. It's the first one I have felt but it may just be a Braxton hicks I can't really tell though. Maybe I should call the dr." I reach for my phone but Sabrina beats me to it.

She is on the phone talking in the blink of an eye to the dr.

"Okay. Yes okay. She said it was just the first time feeling it. Okay I will tell her thank you so much." Sabrina hangs up and turns to me handing the phone back.

"Okay sweetie she said just get comfortable and if the pains keep coming we need to time them and if they get closer together to try taking some Tylenol and drink two big glasses of water and lay down for about thirty minutes if that doesn't work to call and she will tell us what to do from there. Until then just relax and stay calm don't work yourself up. Stay calm for the baby." Sabrina says coming to sit next to me and puts her hands on my stomach and rubs slowly.

~~~~Four hours later~~~~
"Shit shit shit god I'm going to kill Steven for doing this to me you guys." I am bent over as another contraction hits.

Sabrina is next to me rubbing my back in soothing circles while on the phone with the dr again.

The contractions are extremely close and lasting a few minutes and I just want them to stop.

As the pain slowly stops I'm able to stand up again and continue my walk around the apartment.

Sabrina is following close behind moving things out the way as I can't see them let alone my feet.

All of a sudden a woosh of liquid comes rushing out and down my legs as I scream.

Sabrina looks shocked and tells the dr what just happened and screams for her husband who has been on the phone with Steven keeping him updated on everything going on.

He turns and looks to see what his wife is screaming about and looks ready to pass out as he sees the liquid all over the floor and nearly drops the phone.

"Steven buddy you better hurry Angel's water just broke all over the floor. I got to get her in the car and to the hospital I'm going to hand the phone to her now so you can talk to her." Benjamin says into the phone.

He moves over to me and helps me to the elevator as another contraction hits and I scream as the door shuts.

I breathe through it and it eases as we make it to the bottom floor and the doors slide open.

We make it outside and meet Sabrina who has gotten the car and is waiting for us with the car door open my bag is already in the car as I sit down with help in the backseat.

We pull off and Sabrina is speeding down the road passing people and honking like crazy at people not getting out of her way fast enough.

I'm in the back holding my stomach fearing for my child's and my life as she speeds up and hits a turn.

"Honey I think you may want to slow down before you kill us than we really will be in trouble we have a little while before the baby will be here. It will be okay to slow down." Benjamin says laying his hand on his wife's arm as she finally eases off the gas and uses the brake.

A/n:
funny story my aunt was pregnant and was at her parents house visiting when she went into labor her mom and sisters all started freaking and all got in the car after grabbing her bag and took off leaving her and her dad on the front porch at the house. So they sat down in the rocking chairs and was talking. She looked at him and was like how long do you think it will take them to realize I'm not in the car. He shrugged and they sat there about an hour before they saw the car coming back. They had drove all the way to the hospital before they even realized she wasn't in the car with them.
