Chapter 8

Steven:

"What do to mean there is a complication and you can't get both of the girls back?" I was staring my father down as he was running his hands through his hair.

"Apparently one of the guys I got to do the job got trigger happy and killed one of the girls he wouldn't say which one and when I told him that the job was off he said no he would keep the one still alive unless we give him what he wants." My father says while pacing in front of me.

I'm currently sitting on my couch in the apartment ready to kill my father with my bare hands.

He is still sporting the bruise I have him and winces as he talks under his eyes is a black and blue mess and he has a brace on his nose.

I get up and grab him by his shirt and slam him against the wall knocking over a vase of flowers on the table next to us spilling water glass and flowers all over the floor.

"The fuck do you mean one of the girls got killed. You better find out which one or I will kill you and then once I find the both of them I will kill those guys as well. All because you got greedy innocent people are dying. How does that make you feel?" I slam him several more times into the wall before letting him.

"Get the fuck out my apartment and find those girls" I scream at him before grabbing my keys and leaving him standing there looking lost.

I make it to a bar several minutes later and sit down and order a scotch.

The bartender hands me the drink and I down it and order another.

The whole bottle is sat in front of me and I smile and raise the glass in salute.

The bar keep goes back to wiping down the bar and glasses.

"Looked like you could use it Mr. Rodriquez. Rough day?" The bartender asks coming over and stopping in front of me.

He grabs the bottle and pours another glass for me.

"Rough doesn't even begin to describe my day my entire week. My girlfriend who is carrying our child may or may not be dead along with our child all because my fathers greed. So sorry if I seem just a bit snappy." I reply while downing the next glass as fast as the first.
