Chapter 29: Pool

Final class just finished and I know Jake will be waiting by the class door. He wouldn't take no for an answer. I walk out the room and saw him standing by the door. He always looks good and handsome but just maybe I don't look at him like how others does.

"Ready?" He asks smiling as he saw me

"Jake, I don't think this is a good idea" I told him

"Just one date let's try if there could be something more in us" he takes my books in my hands

"What about Amber?"

"Amber is just a friend" he says

We arrived in the restaurant that he was talking about it was very elegant and beautiful.

"This place is so fancy" I whispered to him

"Don't worry, I'm not letting you pay" he winks at me "Reservation for Reynolds please"

"This way sir" The lady said leading our way to our table

We finished eating our food, I let him order mine I don't wanna regret my choice for food tonight.

"Skye" He spokes

"Yes?" Eating my dessert "This special is so good"

"About tonight"

"What about it?"

"Our date" making me swallow my ice cream "I feel that we should be-"

"Friends?" I finished his sentence

"Yeah, I don't wanna hurt your feelings for we are friends but I just don't feel the spark that I have been looking for" he explains

"Sparks?"

"They said if you are meant for each other you feel sparks,I just don't feel that with you"

"It's okay"

"I don't wanna hurt your feelings"

"You are not hurting my feeling at all Jake" I smiles,it was actually a relief

"I don't want you to keep your anger inside, you can get mad at me"

"No! I'm good Jake" eating my ice cream

"Skye, I'm really sorry"

"It's fine don't think about it"

That was the most awkward first date I have ever had. Don't be too judgy I have been to couple of dates they just don't work.

"I'm home!" I yelled as I opened the door

"You ate?" Mom asked from the kitchen

"Yeah, had dinner with Jake" I enter the kitchen "Hey Mom!" I hugged her

"Hi Sweetie! Your Dad's at the backyard"

"I'll go tell him, I'm home" I went to the backyard, I saw dad talking to someone as I came closer I saw that it was Dylan "Hi Dad"

"Oh Skye good you're here!" He was laighing about something

"You're here?"

"Yeah" Dylan smiles "I was on the neighborhood and decided to say Hi but your parents ask me to stay for dinner"

"It's fine"

"Dinner, did you already ate?" Dad asks

"I had dinner with Jake" I said

"Are you and Jake dating?"

"Oh No dad, We are just friends" I explained

"Good, Because I want someone else for you" Dad turned his sight on Dylan
