*A/N* I know I said this story was on hold until my co-author comes back, but I decided to give y'all something since I feel bad. So this WILL be revised and much more will be added to it in hopefully the near future, however here is a chapter to tide you over for a bit. Let me know what you think.**
Dr. Green pulls me faster through the swinging doors and into the kitchen. It is a beautiful fifties style, coca cola themed kitchen. The floor is black and white tile, along with the backsplash above the counters. The appliances are all black and stainless steel. The counter tops are white and the cabinets are a bright cherry red. There is a bar attached to an island in the center of the kitchen with a dozen matching red and stainless steel stools. The walls are decorated tastefully with vintage coca cola signs of all shapes and sizes. In the far corner is a genuine coca cola vending machine, it looks like it is working too.
"Wow!" Is all I can get out as I look around the kitchen.
"I think I did pretty good decorating it," Dr. Green says with a sly grin. "I figured if I was going to be cooking in here all the time, I may as well make it pretty."
"You do the cooking?" I ask, a bit surprised that he is a doctor and finds time to do most of the cooking.
"No!" Luke shouts, bursting through the swinging kitchen door. "He does NOT do the cooking around here, or around any place else! He would kill us all if he even tried to make cereal."
"Hey! I make a mean bowl of cereal you brat!" Dr. Green feigns hurt at Luke.
"Yeah, okay, Doc!" Luke laughs. "Whatever you have to tell yourself. Sang, I am the cook around here. North helps a bit, but he is more into cars and building stuff. I love to cook and bake. I actually co-own the diner in our little town here, with mine and North's uncle."
"I love to cook, too! I love to come up with my own different recipes and twists on things," I tell Luke and notice his whole face light up.
"Maybe we can cook together?!" He says, almost bouncing off the walls.
"I would love that, Luke," I grin at his enthusiasm. "I would also love to see your diner some time."
"Cool!" His smile lights up the room and I can't help but return it. "I am going to start on dinner, any special requests?"
"I'm not picky," I say, while following Dr. Green over to a door in the corner of the kitchen. The door has a poison sticker on it and I stop a few feet away. "Dr. Green, we should probably stay out of there."
"What?" He turns to me, his brows furrowed. "Why??"
"It says there is poison in there, shouldn't we stay away?" I ask with wide eyes.
He grabs his sides and doubles over with laughter. After a few moments, he finally catches his breath and reaches for the doors handle. Opening the door he walks in and motions for me to follow. "That was a joke, Pookie. This is the laundry room, we are a bunch of guys. Gabriel tries to keep up, but it gets out of hand fast between work and miss- uh... other stuff."
I follow him into the room and see four washers and four dryers, all state of the art and looking brand new. The room is massive for a laundry room. It has racks and racks of hangers on the side opposite the washers and dryers. What shocks me most, though, is the massive pile of clothing in the middle of the room. You can't get to the washer and dryer without climbing the mountain of clothes. I know there are nine guys living here, but I am pretty sure this amount of clothing could dress a whole army!
Suddenly, I get a brilliant idea. "Dr. Green!" I shout, a bit too loud in my excitement.
I hear a half dozen footsteps running toward the laundry room. I look toward the sound and see all the guys standing in the doorway of the laundry room, looking ready for a fight.
