The boy kept his hand over her mouth as he forced her out the back. She was going to try and fight as he tried to push her into the back of a car but another boy stood with a gun in his hand. She took a quick peak to see if there were any cameras on the back of the school. She never got so see before she was shoved in.
She couldn't see where she was going but she didn't really care anymore. It seemed like she was going to die in the end anyways. Might as well skip the abuse. But she remembered Lucas.
--
Lucas walked down the hallway to get a book from the library to use during his study hall. He held a pass on his hand. He didn't know if he should be mad at Maya or not. He understood her fear of her secret being let out. but seemed like she didn't trust him. Then again, he did tell Zay but Maya had never told him not to. That was her fault. That's when he saw a familiar object on the floor, Sophia's phone. He picked it up and turned it on to see a picture of Riley and her on the lock screen, assuring him that it was hers. The uper right of the screen was cracked, unlike the day before. He pulled out his phone and called her home phone. Her grandmother picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hi, is Sophia there?"
"No, she's at school, right?"
"She was sent home."
"Don't worry. I'll talk to her when she gets back." And she hung up. The bell rang and kids started filling into the hallway. He knew Maya would have gone straight home. He ran into Cory's room.
"Maya's on trouble."
--
Maya laid on the ground, out of breath. The kids had left the room. She weakly put her clothes back on but found it impossible to stand up. She noticed a piece of paper on the ground and pulled herself towards it.
Three hours to live
Maya knew that they were playing on her anxiety.
"I'll be there soon, Mom. I don't think I'm ready to leave but at least I will be with you." She sighed. "If I only have three hours left, why not risk being disappointed. I really hope that I can live. I need to apologize to Lucas."
--
There where security cameras in the back of the school. They knew what direction she went in. Lucas couldn't wait for anyone anymore. He ran out at in that direction. He looked in every ally on the way there. It took him two hours until he came across the same car parked in an ally behind an abandoned building. He pulled out his phone and told the police as he looked through a few windows and saw nothing. The police would take to long. He ran to the door.
Locked.
He didn't care. He broke the window next to it and jumped down into the room. The window was at the top of te wall so it was a long drop but he landed, using his hands to catch himself. He heard a few loud bangs, he ran out the door and down the hallway, following the sound.
"Hey!" He turned to see a boy, a few years older, pointing a gun at him.
