Lucas refused to leave Maya's side for his nose. Not until she woke up. The next day when her eyes opened again, he was still there.
"Hey." He whispered.
"You saved me." She said as the memories flooded her head. "I thought you would hate me for lying to you."
"I could never hate you. I was mad but now I know why you didn't tell me. I suppose I can't say that you could have trusted me because I did tell but honestly, if you asked me not to, I never would have."
"I'm really sorry that I didn't. I should have told you not to tell. That was my fault. This was all my fault."
"I started the bullying."
"And you explained why."
"But that didn't make it right. You really did give me a second chancec though."
"I'm glad I did. I forgive you. Do you forgive me?"
"Of course."
She turned to the other side of her, where Riley sat.
"Hi, peaches. I'm so sorry this all happened to you."
"You didn't kidnap, rape, and/or try to kill me. So you have nothing to be sorry about."
"They raped you?"
"Ya, but I don't think I'm pregnant, though."
"You should have killed him." Said Lucas, angry.
"I would have never been able to live with myself."
"I still can't get over you being Maya. All of those moments as Sophia, you were Maya." Said Lucas. "The ten second relationship, the class president campaign, the triangle. Everything."
"The time you told me that I didn't have to deal with a bully alone." Said Riley.
"I'm not very good at listening to myself." Said Maya after a minute. "I still have the ring. I obviously couldn't wear it. You'd know I was Maya. You never took yours off your finger, though. Thank you. For never forgetting about me."
"I never could. Sophia couldn't even replace you. And you're Sophia."
"Can I just be Maya?"
"Ya. The schools shut down for the week to find out who the people involved are for you and the other two that where there. People probably love you now." Maya giggled.
"That sound just made my week." Said Lucas.
"You told Sophia that you loved me."
"Ya." He looked down at his hands.
"Where you telling the truth?"
"Sorta. Well ya. 100%"
"Good. I love you too."
