The next week or so Cory would come walking with me in the evenings and stay for a while after. We were really beginning to hit it off. The only thing was I had to sneak behind Aiden's back because he didn't really want me around him either. Another thing was, I was still getting tons of Facebook messages about Cory.
"Hey." I greeted Cory one day when it was time for our walk.
"What's wrong? You look like somethings bothering you, did I do something?" He asked instantly.
"It's nothing. I'm fine." I nodded.
The whole time we walked my phone was steady vibrating. It was irritating me so bad I was almost in tears. I was trying to hide my face so he couldn't see me but that didn't work.
"Why do you look like you're about to cry?" He asked as he stopped walking.
"Nothing, I'm just getting irritated is all." I replied.
"Over what? What did I do?"
"It's not you, it's everyone from school."
"What'd they do?"
"Nothing, it's nothing."
"Please tell me."
"No, it's fine."
"Please, I'm going to keep thinking it's me until you tell me."
"Fine everyone keeps messaging me over and over and over to stop talking to you!" I yelled.
"Oh..well I guess I'll just leave then." He told me while turning around.
"Just tell me what you did that was so wrong Cory. Please." I begged.
"Then you'll hate me again, you'll think I'm an asshole just like everyone else. You'll want me dead just like everyone else." He whispered.
"No, just tell me. Please Cory." He shook his head and began walking away. "Cory, I'm not joking just tell me. I want to know."
Cory's POV:
"No, just tell me. Please Cory." I shook my head and began to walk away. "Cory, I'm not joking just tell me. I want to know."
The truth was I wanted to tell her what happened and I wanted her to tell me why she left. Even though I overheard her telling Aiden what was wrong with her.
"Then why'd you leave huh? Was it because you have a eating disorder because of me?" I shouted back at her.
She stood there shocked to my sudden outburst. Well, I was shocked myself, I didn't mean to say that. She turned around and started stomping off.
"Delaney, wait. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that." I called after her.
"Then tell me why everyone hates you so damn much!" She yelled, in tears by now.
"Fine! Fuck it! One night I was.." Then I was cut off by Damen walking up to us. "Damnit Damen, just get the fuck out of here!" I yelled.
Delaney stood there with tears staining her face. Damen looked at her and began laughing in her face. I spun him around and grabbed him by the shirt collar and began yelling.
"Can't you just drop it! Don't bring her into this! She had nothing to do with this! Just leave!" I yelled.
"No, it was my fucking cousin Cory! My cousin, man! Why? Why the fuck would you do that?!! You got drunk because of her! You made an ass of yourself because of her!" He yelled back.
When I looked over his shoulder, I noticed Delaney was walking away fast.
"Fuck man, I don't know! I already told you this a dozen times, I didn't mean for it to happen!" I yelled then ran away.
