When I got to Cory he looked like he was in so much pain. All I could do was cry, I caused this. There was blood and bruises all over him. I was on my knees beside of him, holding his hand and crying.
"Delaney, please. Stop. I'm okay." Cory whispered.
He was holding onto his stomach with his free hand.
"Can you get up? We need to get you somewhere. We need to get you some help." I asked.
Cory tried to get up countless times until he finally sat up to where I could help him up.
"I'm gonna call my dad and tell him to bring the car. You can't walk that far."
I was terrified to say the least. I called dad and told him where we were and to hurry.
"He's on his way. It might take a couple of minutes, he just got out of the shower." I told Cory.
Before he talked to me, he had to spit the blood that had been going into his mouth.
"I'm okay, you don't have to be so afraid. Come here."
I slid over closer to him and he put his arm around me. As he did so, I could tell it was hurting him.
Dad pulled up and got out of the car quickly.
"What the hell happened?" Dad asked.
"Dad, we need to get him somewhere." I told him.
Dad and I helped Cory to the car and then we were on the way to the hospital. Cory didn't want to go but I wasn't going to let him go without someone checking him.
When we got to the hospital, they took him back quickly. Cory told them that he wanted me to come back with him so I walked along side with them.
An hour after being back there, they finally told us that he had two fractured ribs and everything else looked fine. After we had left the hospital and was on the way to the house I told dad what had happened. He was pissed.
"You need to tell the cops or someone Cory." Dad told him.
"Na, I'm fine. I don't feel the need to tell the cops, they'll get what's coming for them. Especially, Toby."
"Who's Toby?" I asked.
"The guy that was holding you. They had no right putting their hands on you."
"I'm fine. They didn't hurt me."
"They might didn't, but they'll learn their lesson for touching you."
Dad sat in the front nodding his head along with Cory.
Cory and I were in the living room watching tv, well I was. Cory was asleep with his head in my lap. There was a knock at the door, dad got it and it was Aiden.
"Hey, what happened today? I've been seeing a bunch of shit on facebook." Aiden asked sitting on the love seat across from where I was.
"Well, Damon and Anthony beat the living shit out of Cory. One of their friends, Cory said his name was Toby, held me and made me watch. It's a long story." I explained.
"You said Toby?"
"Yeah, why?"
"My sister's boyfriend is Toby. He's also friends with Damon and Anthony." Aiden told me, he looked like he was getting madder and madder by the second. "He was at the house earlier today told Amber that he needed to go help Damon with something. He wouldn't say what it was though."
"So, they planned this." I mumbled.
"Yep, I do believe so. They will pay for it though."
About that time Cory began to wake up. He slowly opened his eyes and looked around. He smiled lightly up at me before trying to get up.
"What were y'all talking about?" Cory asked.
"Toby is dating Aiden's sister. They had the whole thing planned out." I told him.
"Well, Toby is the main one I'm going for when I see them out." Cory told us.
"You don't need to do anything Cory. Everything is fine." I told him.
"Bro, I got you. I got them as soon as I see 'em." Aiden told Cory.
"Guys, for real. It's not that serious. I mean Damon and Anthony, they do have it coming. But that Toby guy, he's not worth it."
"Baby, believe me he's going to be worth it. Fuck, I don't care that they beat the shit out of me, they touched you. That's what I'm pissed about." Cory told me.
Aiden looked at me like what aren't you telling me when Cory called me baby. I just shook my head.
"Aiden, when you see Toby again tell him, he's got something coming for him." Cory told him.
"Oh, don't worry he'll be getting it from me too."
I didn't want another fight to start. I just wanted to let it go, but they're obviously not going to let that happen. I didn't want anyone else to get hurt. I'm scared Cory is going to get hurt worse than what he already is.
Later that evening Aiden left and I told Cory I'd drive him home.
"Delaney, stop the car." Cory told me.
"What? Why?"
"Just stop."
I did as I was told and Cory quickly jumped out.
