This is going to be my last chapter for this story. I know it’s kind of a short notice but I don’t really have anymore ideas for this one. I have enjoyed writing it and I hope all of you have enjoyed reading it!

After about an hour of the excruciating pain of pushing, she was finally here. Adalyn Nicole was finally here, in my arms. Cory was looking down at me as I was pushing and I could have sworn I felt tears fall down on me. After he got his hands on Adalyn it was hard for him to let anyone else hold her. I could see all the love he had for her just flowing through the huge smile on his face.
“I love you so much.” Cory told me as he put the sleeping baby in my arms.
“I love you too.” I smiled.
“And you.” He smiled as he touched Adalyn’s head.
Having all three of us here in this room made me the happiest person ever. I never thought I’d be a mother so soon but it was an amazing feeling. My dad fell in love with Adalyn as soon as he laid eyes on her. One thing that would make all of this absolutely perfect though is if I knew for sure who Adalyn’s father was. I knew that Cory was thinking the same but I also knew that he felt that she was his.
Cory and I decided that we’d wait until Adalyn was about three weeks to do the DNA test. I was kind of worried when the time came because in the pit of my stomach, I just knew that it was going to come back and tell me that Cory wasn’t the father. I don’t know how Cory would cope with that kind of news. I didn’t know how our relationship would end up if he wasn’t the father.
Damon had called a few times to find out about the results but we hadn’t checked yet. Both of us were too scared to look at the results. I knew that Damon wanted to know just as bad as we did but I wished that he would just give us some time. Adalyn was spending the day with Aiden so that we could get this done with.
“Baby, everything’s going to be fine.” Cory told me.
“I’m so scared Cory.”
Tears were threatening to come out at any minute and I didn’t want to let that happen. I didn’t want to look weak in front of my daughter, no she may not be old enough to know what I was doing but I wanted to be strong. Strong, I needed to be that because no matter what she was going to be in Cory’s life. She was going to know him as her father, no matter what. Cory was going to love her no matter what and I didn’t have to question that.
“I just want this over with.” I mumbled into his chest.
“Me too, do you want to look now?”
When he asked that, I began panicking. I didn’t know if I was ready. I was terrified to see what the results were.
I couldn’t speak, so I just nodded.
“I love you, okay?” He told me.
“I love you.”
I watched as Cory looked and I see tears fill his eyes. That was not a good sign, I got up from the couch and ran out of the apartment. I just couldn’t be in there, I couldn’t see him break down all because of me. I cried the entire time I was walking down the sidewalk from our apartment. When I got to a bench I just collapsed there and cried.
“Delaney!” I heard Cory yell.
I turned around to see him coming towards me with tears in his eyes. When he got up to me he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tight.
“Baby, she’s mine. She’s mine.” He mumbled into my ear.
That made me cry even more, this was the best news I had heard all day. I thought because he was crying, she was Damon’s. At the moment, I wanted nothing more than to have Adalyn in my arms.
“Can we go pick her up?” I asked.
“Yes, I want to hold my baby girl.”
As Cory and I made our way over to Aiden’s to pick Adalyn up, I called Damon. I called him and asked if he would meet Cory and I at the coffee shop.
“Aiden!!” I yelled through the door, with a smile on my face.
He opened the door with a smile on his face with Adalyn in his arms.
“Gimme my baby.” Cory smiled as he took Adalyn from Aiden.
“She’s yours?” Aiden asked before I hugged him.
I was kind of nervous to tell Damon the news because he was pretty attached to Adalyn too. I wasn’t going to take her away from him though, he could still come see her if he wanted. Cory and he were back on talking terms and that made me happy.
“Hey.” I said when I seen Damon.
“Hey guys.”
After we sat there at the table for a while in silence Damon cleared his throat.
“So?” He asked.
“She’s Cory’s.” I mumbled.
“Oh...okay.”
Then he got up without another word and walked out. I knew that it had to hurt to be told that someone wasn’t your daughter. I followed him out and grabbed his arm. I pulled him to me and gave him a hug. I gave him a hug to let him know that everything was going to be okay.
“You can still see her, I won’t take her away from you. You can come over whenever you want. You and Cory can watch the game or something.”
“Thank you.” He mumbled.

Months went by and Damon made sure that he came over every week to see Adalyn. Adalyn loved him, she would begin smiling as soon as she seen him. Damon and Cory would hang out occasionally, mostly watching the game. I knew them so well.
Cory and I had our arguments but we didn’t let anything get in the way of our love. We both loved Adalyn with all of our hearts and we would make sure that neither of us left during an argument. I love that man and I know Adalyn does.
