When Cory walked over to me, I noticed he had a busted lip. Without thinking I raised my hand up and wiped the blood off of it. He pulled away in pain at first but then he let me get it off.

I took him to the bathroom to clean his lip up and he stayed quiet the entire time.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Nothing, nothing happened." He replied quickly.

"Cory, stop telling me everything is nothing. Who did this to you?" I asked.

"Just some people you don't know." He answered. "I came over to see if you wanted to walk today, but you look really sleepy. So, I'll go home and let you sleep." Cory told me.

"No, I'll walk. We need to talk." I nodded. "You can wait in my room while I change. It's right across the hall." I smiled.

When I got out from changing I seen him looking at the pictures on my walls. He had a slight smile on his face but it wasn't a happy happy smile. Which I really wanted to see from him.

"Can you tell me why you moved away now?" Cory asked a few minutes into our walk.

"I don't know, it's not something that I can just tell." I sadly told him.

"You think what I told you is just something I tell?" He asked.

"I just don't think I can tell you right now."

"Well, I'll be here when you're ready to tell."

"Yeah."

"Delaney, please tell me why you left. It's killing me not knowing." He begged.

"I don't know."

"You can trust me, I promise. I don't have anyone to tell and even if I did I wouldn't."

I didn't say anything, just continued walking. Cory didn't say anything else as we walked. Then I suddenly stopped walking.

"Fine, I have an eating disorder." I let out.

"You mean had, right?" He asked.

"No, I have."

"Because of me, isn't it?"

"Not just you, everyone, and me."

"Fuck, I screwed your life up just so I could have some attention." He said. "I'm going to be here, I'm going to help you get better. I'll be there for you all the time." He added.

"I'm fine, I've been eating more lately. You don't need to worry about me, you have enough on your plate." I told him.

He mumbled something under his breath but I couldn't understand what it was. It wasn't meant for me to hear so I didn't say anything to him about it.

The next day at school, I seen Aiden's hand had a cut on it. That made me go back to the night before when Cory came to my house with a busted lip. I grabbed Aiden's hand and looked at it.

"Aiden, you didn't!" I yelled.

"I didn't what?"

"You hit Cory didn't you?"

"And if I did? Why would it matter?"

"Because he hasn't done anything to you! He isn't bothering anyone so leave him alone. Damn."

"Delaney! The way he use to treat you like shit?"

"That's the past, you need to get over it!" I yelled before I blacked out.

I woke up in the fimilar nurses office. I looked over and seen that Cory was sitting there looking at me.

"I blacked out again didn't I? Where's Aiden? He brung me in here then left?" I asked.

"Yeah, you can't be getting all worked up like that. You don't have enough energy for that yet. Yeah, he had to go somewhere."

When I was sitting in the nurses office trying to get my energy back, my phone vibrated. I pulled it out and it was a Facebook notification. I was tagged in someone's picture. I tapped on the picture I was tagged in and it was Cory carrying me into the school. The caption read 'Kills someone then helps someone who passed out, what a joke.'

Cory sat there watching me look at the phone but didn't say a word. I looked up at him and showed him the picture. He looked at it then looked down at his hands.

"Why'd you bring me?" I asked, confused.

He was nowhere around when I passed out.

"Um, Aiden just stood there looking at you with sadness in his eyes when you hit the ground so I ran over and pushed him out of the way. I picked you up and brung you here."

"He didn't try to help me?"

"I, um, I think he was just shocked."

"Yeah, I guess."

Cory's POV:

Delaney finally told me about her eating disorder and even though I already knew it made me worry about it that much more. I would find myself asking her throughout the day if she was okay or needed a break, mostly while we were walking.

My feelings for her were starting to grow more and more each time I seen her but I wasn't going to tell her. I had to make sure she fully trusted me and wanted me in her life. She hadn't really talked to Aiden since he didn't help her the day she passed out in front of the school.

When I told her about the accident I was expecting her to just drop me like everyone else did. She stayed though, told me it was just an accident. I couldn't believe that she actually forgave me for being such an asshole to her.

"You ready to go?" I asked Delaney when she walked out of her house to go walking.

When I looked up at her, she looked really pale and weak, I began panicing.

"Delaney, have you ate today? Come on, let's get inside." I said while picking her up and taking her inside.

"I..I just haven't had the chance to eat." She mumbled.

"Well, you need to eat."

"I can't, I'm not hungry."

"As long as you don't eat, I'm not eating. Delaney, baby, you can't keep doing this. We have to get you better." I didn't even realize I called her baby until after I finished talking.

"Cory, you don't need to do this. I'm fine." Then she went out.
