As soon as school ended that day I went straight to his house. When I knocked on the door his mom answered, she looked at me with pity.

"Is Cory home?" I asked.

"No baby, he left this morning." She said sadly.

I began thinking the worse. He was dead, he died from withdrawls.

"He went to get help." She added.

"He didn't tell me he was leaving." I cried.

"It came up quickly, he'll be back though. He left his phone here though so he could focus on getting better. I've never seen him this determined." She replied.

"Oh, well I got to go." I left before I began bawling like a baby right there on her front steps.

As soon as I got to my car, the tears came pouring down my face.

He LEFT me. No goodbye, nothing. Is what I kept thinking over and over.

Days went by, months went by then it had been a year and a half. I would wait by the phone everyday, hoping for a text or a call. But as time went by I gave up. I couldn't wait around forever.

As Aiden and I walked to my house from school one day, there was someone with long black hair sitting on my steps. The person looked up and I just froze.

He was back.

"Hey." Cory said quietly.

"I'll go in." Aiden told me.

After Aiden went inside, Cory walked over to where I was standing. I didn't know if I should be happy or angry that he's back.

"You left." I told him.

"I know and I'm sorry." He whispered.

"No goodbye or anything."

"I know."

"Why? Why damnit?" I yelled.

"I had to. I couldn't tell you bye, if I came to tell you bye I would have never left."

"I waited for you Cory. Fuck you." I could barely get my words out.

"You know I didn't want to leave you. You know if I could have I would have stayed right here beside you. I would have never left you. Do you think I wanted to go this long without seeing you or hearing your voice? Hell no, but Delaney I knew I had to for you. For us." He told me.

By the time he finished talking I was bawling. I was so angry with him.

Cory walked closer to me and pulled me into his arms. He kissed my forehead and looked me in the eyes.

"I missed you so damn much." He told me.

The thing he didn't know was going to make him furious with me...

Chapter 9:

I didn't tell him, what I knew I should have. I just couldn't bring myself to it. That's all I thought about that night though, I had a total of 1 hour of sleep. When I got to school the next morning, I knew I looked like shit.

As soon as I walked into the school, I seen Cory standing at my locker. I knew he was going to find out what I didn't tell him soon.

When I walked up to Cory, he gave me a small smile. I stood there just waiting for him to find out.
