I suddenly felt like an idiot for letting him out. When I looked to my left, there stood Toby all alone. Great. I jumped out of the car to try to get Cory before he got to Toby but it was too late. Cory already had Toby pinned to the ground. I heard someone running behind me and turned around to see Aiden running over to where Cory was. I looked to my right and seen Aiden's sister.
Cory had gotten up off of Toby by the time Aiden got over, so now it was both of them against Toby. They were punching him left and right, I swear I thought my night couldn't get any worse. Until Aiden's sister came over to me.
"What the hell? Stop them! What has he done to them?" She yelled in my face.
"Ask your boyfriend." I couldn't take watching them anymore. I got in my car and left.
I wasn't going home right now, so I chose to go to the all night diner a few miles down the road. As I was driving my phone rang countless times, but I ignored all of the rings. I was in no mood for the dumb crap.
"Can I get a coffee?" I asked the lady at the counter.
"Sure can. I'll have it in a second." She smiled happily at me.
As she handed me the coffee cup, the door opened. I turned my head and there stood Cory. He once again had a bloody lip. He walked over to where I was seated and sat down across from me.
"You're mad." He stated.
"No shit."
"Why?"
"Oh, I don't know."
"Delaney, he held you by the throat and made you watch as his friends beat the crap out of me. I'm not going to let him get away with that. He's not going to get away with touching my girlf.." He quickly stopped.
"Your what?"
"Nothing, I..uh, didn't mean to say that."
Cory's POV:
Delaney was pissed that I got out of the car and beat the shit out of Toby. I know that for a fact, just by the way she was looking down at her cup of coffee. I felt like I had to show him that he wasn't going to get away with touching her though. I did get the shit beat out of me by Damon and Anthony but I didn't care about that.
I think when I accidentally called her my girlfriend made her even more pissed off. I guess she thought I was claiming her already when she wasn't even mine. She didn't say anything else about that though.
"Why are you bleeding again?" She asked.
"When you drove away, it distracted Aiden and me. Toby took that as his chance to punch me."
Delaney didn't say anything else after that, she had her hand resting on the table so I reached over and grabbed it.
"Look, I know you're pissed off. But you have to see where I'm coming from."
She laughed, not a happy laugh more like 'are you fucking kidding me.'
"I don't care where you're coming from. You did not have to stoop to their level. How the hell did you like them beating the shit out of you when no one was there to help?" Ouch. "You did the same shit they did. I think it's best if right now we go our seperate ways. And there's no changing it this time."
"Please, don't do this. I didn't want this to happen." I begged.
"Do you think I do? You went too far this time."
The anger is getting the best of me.
"I went too far? Me? No, they went too far when they planned to do this shit! When they planned to hold you and make you fucking watch as they beat the shit out of me is when THEY went too far! And this is how it ends? You get pissed off at me and not them! That's some bullshit!" I yelled.
