The next day.
I wiped the tears from my face as I walked home from school. I'd been crying again, something I apparently couldn't stop doing. I kept my head low and my hood up, walking until I noticed something.
I had unknowingly walked to the bridge instead of home.
It was kind of a pretty scene when you weren't thinking about how someone you kind of liked might be dead from getting pushed off the bridge.
I've come to a conclusion that Greg had pushed him. I'm thinking I'm right.
I sighed out as I looked over the edge. If Dan is alive, he's probably hurt and scared.
I stared at the roaring water, noting how quick it was moving, how violent it was pushing everything. I don't think Dan could survive that.
A few tears slipped down my red cheeks. I sniffled, trying to wipe the tears away. If only I knew if he was okay.
I climbed up onto the edge and looked out to the sky. The sun was a vibrant orange. It was setting early and the clouds were pink and yellow and a tiny bit of purple. The sky looked pretty.
But not as pretty as I found Dan to be.
The wind started to gently blow and so I stuck my arms out, very much probably looking like Rose from Titanic.
I smiled a little at how silly I must look right now, or perhaps stupid. I probably look stupid.
"Phil!"
The voice echoed in my head. It sounded like... Dan?
"Phil, Jesus Christ what are you doing?!"
I turned and I saw him, bruised and bloodied and looking awfully in pain. I saw Dan.
I hopped down off the side of bridge and onto the ground, running to him. It was probably cliché, but I couldn't care less.
I didn't know where he didn't hurt, so I just stopped in front of him.
"Y- you're alive," I breathed, letting my fingertips brush his cheek. He smiled at me. "Come on, I'm bringing you back to my house. I'm going to get you cleaned up."
He nodded and let me help him walk to my house.

My father wasn't home, so that was a plus because I wouldn't have to explain to him. I let Dan and myself in and helped Dan limp his way inside.
"You need to get cleaned up and you need to eat," I told him, practically dragging him through my house. "Let's run you a bath first."
I took him to the bathroom and started the bath water.
"Okay, you can get in and I'll go make you food," I said, turning around to leave.
"Phil, wait, I need..." Dan began, wincing as he tried to move on his own. "I need you to help me." His face went pink.
Mine did too.
"Help you how?" I asked carefully, turning back to him.
"Help me out of my clothes and into the bath," Dan muttered, and I bit my lip. I saw this coming, actually, and honestly, I'm not against the idea of seeing Dan naked.
I nodded. "Okay..." I uttered, sounding unsure on purpose.
"Okay?"
"Okay."
He smiled and relaxed a bit. I walked over to him and began unbuttoning his shirt. Once all the buttons were undone, I slid the shirt off his shoulders. I sighed at his bruises and cuts.
I guided him to sit on the toilet lid so I could get his shoes off. I took them off as well as his socks.
I stood him back up and hesitated as my hands went to the button on his jeans. "May I?" I asked. He nodded and so I popped the button open.
I slid his jeans down his legs with great difficulty, due to the tight pants and his cuts, and I didn't want to hurt him. Once they were at his ankles, I helped him step out of them.
I saw more cuts and bruises and got the urge to punch Greg in the face.
Now Dan was just in his boxers, and I thought I should stop.
"You want to take those off yourself?" I asked him, and he bit his lip.
"I need you to hold me up so I can try," he sighed out. I sighed as well.
"Just let me do it," I said, reaching for his waistband. I grabbed a hold of it and crouched down, taking his boxers down with me. I blushed and tried not to look as I stood.
The first thing I saw was the smirk on Dan's face. "What?" I asked as I shut off the water.
"You were in a very lovely position just then," he remarked as I helped him step out of his boxers.
I stopped for a second before rolling my eyes and blushing. "Shut up," I uttered, trying not to chuckle.
"I've imagined you on your knees for me once," he admitted, and my eyebrows shot up.
"Have you now?"
"Mhm, lots of times," he practically moaned. I chuckled.
"Hush or I'll cut it off," I joked, when in reality his words were causing me a problem.
I helped him climb into the bath and helped him sit.
"Now, just relax and I'll make you something to eat," I told him. He nodded and I scurried off to the kitchen.
