Chapter 4- Dan

I didn't exactly know where i was going all i know is i was trying to get away from my "friends" They didn't know i was trying to get away from them but me and my friends where roaming around the empty streets of Manchester at night and i told them i was going to be right back but in reality i was just trying to get away from them. I eventually couldn't keep running, i tasted blood in my mouth and i was breathing heavy so i approached a small lake... But there was someone else there... I looked closer trying to adjust my vision after running so much. All i could see through the dark was a mop of messy black hair and pale white skin. I don't know why bit the first thing that came to mind was "what if its a vampire." Or something like that but thats when it hit me, sitting there holding their legs not looking so good was the ebony haired boy...

"Lester?" My voice came out harsher than i expected it to. He flinched at my words probably surprised/scared at the sudden break of silence but he calmed down. "Thats not my name." He spat at me not even turning around to see who i was. He spat the words out as if it was poison. His voice was unfamiliar because i have never heard him speak, but it also sounded weak or broken even through the harsh words he spoke. "Then i don't suppose you tell me your name than." I said doing my best to sound angry, but it came out more seductive than anything. Than he turned around to actually see my face probably not knowing who i was before he saw my face. His eyed widened in fear and confusion but he flung his head back to face away from me before i could make out his features. "Phil..." His voice soft, cautious yet somehow calm. I walked over to where he was sitting and sat next to him. He scooted away from me slowly, which i understood but made me feel bad. "Well Phil, I'm Dan." He nodded slowly but just looked away from the sky and into his lab. "Why..." Voice full of hurt. "What?" "Why are you friends with them..." It felt like someone stabbed me in the heart, I regretted going over here and talking to him i should have known this was going to happen. "I- I just... its just that i-"

At that moment I heard rustling in the bushes and trees and then heard a familiar voice, a voice i hated oh so much. "Dan?'' It was my friend Greg... I stood up as fast as i could but it was too late. But the time i was only half off the ground he came out and saw i was next to Lester.

"What the fuck are you doing next to LESTER!" I began to panic, to the point i had to do something i don't care what but if i don't... This is the worst place to stick up for Lester. I grabbed the mop of ebony hair and pulled him up off the floor. "WHAT NO PUT ME DOWN!!" He screamed. Oh god what am i going to do! At that moment my mind went into overdrive and i grabbed the back hem of his shirt and held his hair tighter. I threw him into the lake... I felt the worst kind of guilty... I wanted to cry but then i looked over at Greg who at this point wasn't looking at me he was looking at Phil with an evil glint. "You ran away from me earlier! Oh your in for it!" I looked over at Phil who was just now getting up from under the water because he most likely got hurt wile being thrown into the water. There was a small trail of blood coming from the side of his face that colored the small portion of water, maroon. "Greg this isnt the time! Not now we might get caught!" I yell quietly. But he doesnt listen. Phil eventually gets his head above the water by pushing himself up just in time to be forced back under the water by Gregs hand. WAS HE GOING TO TRY TO DROWN HIM!! Oh god! Please no! Phil was struggling to get out of his grasp but eventually failed and just let it go. Greg finally let go after a bit more struggling. I wanted to break down crying. I wanted to help, I wanted to hurt Greg badly for hurting Phil... But i couldn't. But i definitely could stand if Greg does even one more thing this bad to him...
