I had always been in the shadows of Hogwarts. Lurking where no one could notice me. I tried my best to blend in. With thick silvery hair, dark hazel eyes, gargantuan glasses, and a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I started my first year of Hogwarts the year the so called "Golden Trio" did. Of course they made every one practically invisible. They were the "gossip" I guess.Yay me. . . I didn't really meddle with them, I focused on my studies and school. I was the only other kid in our grade that could give Hermione Granger a run for her money. Except one slight problem. It was the afternoon after we had finished our final exams, I was outside with my cousin Maria, watching some people mess around with the giant squid down aways. I got bored and headed back into the castle ready to sit in a squishy armchair and read a book in the Gryffindor common room. Of course walking by, I overhead everything the "Golden Trio" said about the sorcerers stone. My mouth dropped to the floor and I ran, not thinking about it again. Until well, right now. My second year. I was paralyzed by the basilisk. My clean white bed was next to Hermione Granger's bed. I saw everything that Harry Potter and Ron Weasley did in their time next to her. Just because I was paralyzed did not mean I couldn't see! Harry and Ron took a piece of paper out from under Hermione. Then they had to save the wizarding world(by taking away Lockhart's memory, that bloody git.) my third year. I had snuck into Hogsmeade later in the evening to get some new quills. I walked by the Shrieking Shack and stopped. Because I heard voices. Two I did not recognize. And 4 that I did. Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and my potions teacher, Snape. " Ah, Snivellus." "The dementors will be very happy to see you Black." Snape rolled the k sound making him sound like a venomous snake." EXPELLIARMUS!" That was Harry's voice. There was a soft thump. I had been inching closer and close to the shack. Defying rules and jumping over the gate. I sat there for awhile. " Peter Pettigrew is the rat in your hand, Scabbers, is it?" Pettigrew, the man that had died because of Sirius Black's wrath? I eventually stayed long enough to find out that Black, the so called "mass murderer" was innocent. And that it was actually Ron Weasley's rat! I went very close to the shrieking shack then. Touching the molding, brown wood that covered the structure. Wild fern and moss were growing out of the boards in all wild directions, making it look like an unkempt flower bed.(without the flowers) I strolled around the side and fell down a hole, leading me right to Hogwarts! Then I saw my professor for defense against the dark arts. Lupin. Apparently he was a werewolf. And that night I found out the truth. I hid behind the house in fear. Then a noise came from the woods. It sounded a rather lot like Hermione Granger to be clear. The wolf started running and stopped, swiveled around on the spot, and layed
it's large yellow eyes on my hazel ones. He started inching closer and closer. I slowly walked backwards. Going around the house. There I saw Hermione, Ron and Snape. They all turned their heads towards me and widened their eyes. Lupin started to run towards me. I screamed so loud as the wolf sank its claws into my arm and ripped it open. A salty tear ran down my face, as I took my very last breath. . .I know it sucks, but don't judge. I'm looking right at you Amanda.
