Chapter 14

*Megs' POV*

I've been waiting inside this McDonald's for about 3 hours. Lou said he would text me the address right? I am getting more anxious and nervous as minutes continue to pass by. Not because I've been waiting … I would wait forever for Lou if he would come, it's because of the fear of us being separated… again.

 

But you only just met him again after 5 years...

I don’t think I can stand another parting with Lou… and that’s when my phone started to beep. Oh my gosh please be Lou, I wish mentally as I looked at my iPhone. It says unknown number calling and I am confused for a second because he said he would text me… but maybe he wanted to call instead? I click on the green answer button with my shaking hands.

"Hello?" I say into the phone hoping that I don’t sound too desperate.

"Hello Ms Kosslyn," answered a man almost sounding robot-like because of his too formal voice.

"Hi yes, Megan here..." I say back awkwardly… who is this?! "May I ask who you are?"

"This is Jonny here, I am the head management of One Direction" Wait. What?!

"Umm… Ok?"

"We need you in a meeting right away… would it be possible for one of us to pick you up from your location?"

"Uhh… do you know where I am?"

"Yes ma'am, you're at Sandford Road McDonald's now" he said sounding proud and impatient at the same time. Oh gosh… am I being stalked?

"I just tracked your phone and your location right now so don’t worry, you're not being stalked," he said as if he read my mind.

"Umm… ok… first, can I speak to Louis Tomlinson please?" I try to ask as formally as I could because first of all, I don’t know and trust this man and second of all, I need to talk to Louis… because what on earth is going on?!

There was some noise on the other line before I finally got my answer.

"Yes sure thing Miss."

O

h good phew! The phone goes silent again until I hear his voice… which is barely a whisper.

"M-Megs?" Oh boy! How glad I am just to hear his voice but I am not giving any of this away to him.

"Yes Lou…?" I try my best to sound furious and annoyed.

"Just follow their orders please Megs… the management wants to see you… I mean us..."

Oh?

"Umm ok Lou… this is only because…" I was about to say I love you but then stopped and said instead, "because I trust you."

*Louis' POV*

I hear her gentle voice over the phone saying that she trusts me. I can feel my cheeks getting warmer at that but suddenly the phone gets taken out of my hand.

"Ok that's it Louis, we've got to go get her now." Jonny says and talks more into the phone about the details of picking Megs up. I can't believe Megs is being dragged into this mess with me… the mess I created by sneaking out to see her. I've begged the management over and over to not blame Megs on this. After all Eleanor is still my girlfriend publically… SHIT! Eleanor! What does she think about this? I don’t love her in a girlfriend way but she's still like my little sister… I care for her too much and she's probably getting hate on twitter… along with me.

I open my phone to look at my twitter and sure enough… there's #LouisTomlinsonTheCheater which is right I guess… trending along with #LouisHaveDoneNothingWrong which I am sure my defender directioners are trending… but this time, they  were wrong. I have done such a stupid thing… what was I thinking when I went to see Megs? The only thought I had was that I love her and that I need to see her. I never considered my consequences… sometimes I hate myself for being so irresponsible and immature.

I hear the door open before I look up to see Megs who looks nervous and frightened but trying to put on a brave face. I couldn’t hold it in anymore… I run towards her and throw my arms around her fragile body. She cries into my torso loudly earning me a few odd looks from my management crew but I couldn’t care less, at all. I love her and that’s all that matters to me.

"Ahem," Jonny cleared his throat and Megs pulled apart slowly even though I didn’t want to let her go. I pulled her back to my side and wrapped my arms around her tiny shoulders.

"So do you know why you're here?" Jonny said indicating to both of us.

"Yes because I 'cheated' on Eleanor," I say scornfully while doing air quotation marks for cheated sarcastically which earned me a harsh elbow nudge from Megs and an annoyed look from Jonny.

"Yes indeed you did Louis," Jonny nods.

"So now what?" I continue with my sassy voice.

"Now we need to sort this out."

"How?" Megs spoke up quietly and I can hear the worry in her voice.

"Louis, you need to make a decision," Jonny says, "you have two choices" and he paused for a while.

"Yeah…?" I prompted him trying to hide my worries of letting Megs go.

"Number one, we send this young lady back to where she came from and pretend that this didn’t happen so you will still be dating Eleanor Calder." I cursed under my breath… this cannot be happening.

"Or number two, this one is complicated but I am sure we will try our best if you both are willing to do this." I feel Megs shifting nervously holding her breath and I squeezed her warm hands for assurance.

"Megan, this will need a lot of your involvement and you can stay in Louis' life."

Oh what?! That's the last thing I expected to come out of Jonny's mouth… I was hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

"Yes?" I hear her squeak anxiously.

Jonny had a long break before the shocking words escaped his lips.

"You will need to act as Louis' step-sister."
