Chapter 6 Extra

Up there is Jalynn, Sierra, and Raina's schedule (they have the same classes)

12/12/15     Day C
Today's classes went by so fast today and me and Raina had basketball practice while Sierra had theater so we went our separate ways. We headed to the big gym and changed before heading out to the gym to do our warmups. Once we were finished, our coach, Coach Jess, split us into two teams and we played a scrimmage.

Then we started doing conditioning, running and running and more running, before finally our other coach, Coach Val, told us we could stop and get a drink. Once we started breathing normally we started to learn a new play until practice ended.

As soon as we chanted "Iguanas!" I was out of the gym and in a shower. I let the cool water wash away my stink and relax me. I was happy to stay there all day but Raina shouted, "Jalynn! You have band today!"

"Ughhhhh," I groaned. "Thanks for reminding me though." I thanked her as I quickly dried myself in my towel.

I quickly put my clothes back on, since Mr. Levee was really strict about us being late, but I was still a little wet and now my clothes felt weird against me. I put my hair up in my towel and gathered my stuff up. Once I was sure I was ready to go I took my towel off my head and quickly tied up my hair up into a messy bun.

I was the only girl that did basketball and band so I raced out of the locker room to the other side of campus where the music hall was located on my own.

I raced up the steps into the room and found that I was actually early. I threw my bags to the floor and rummaged through one for my drum sticks and went to get my stand and sheet folder. I set everything up and sat down behind the drums when Mr. Levee walked in.

Mr. Levee was probably the youngest teacher here at 24. He always wears the strangest ties. His wife, Mrs. Levee also works here, she's 26. They have a kid named Adrian who's about 4 who is so cute.

"Ahh, excellent a lot of you are here. Okay I would like you guys to get out the first sheet for the concert." I pick that one out of my folder and set it up.

We all start at his signal, and although a few people had notes that were off or a squeak hear or there I thought overall it was pretty good. I looked up at Mr. Levee to see what he would say and it seems like he agreed with me because he said, "Wonderful! You guys hardly messed up and I could see you actually getting into the music that time!"

We all took the praise as we did it again and again before going to the next song and doing that one.
