12/13/15 Day A
I quickly ran to the band room and set my bags on the ground before I noticed I was the only one here. I figured they were just running late as I and rooted through my bag for my drumsticks and set my stand up. I decide to try to drum along to a song I was writing as I waited for everyone. I wasn't paying attention to anything but the drums, so I didn't hear or see when Mr. Levee and Daniel walked in.

"You play drums?!" Daniel asked amazed as I finished and I was so surprised he was here that I nearly fell out of my chair. After I caught my balance I noticed that Mr. Levee was in here too.

"What song was that?" Mr. Levee asked me. I shrugged and began playing with my drumsticks. "Oh, hey did you get that autograph for me?" He asked, deciding to let the other question slide.

I just shook my head no and then Daniel asked, "Who's autograph?"

Mr. Levee replied, "Her dad's autograph." I glared at him and he quickly corrected himself, "Her birth dad's. Sorry." He said looking sheepishly at me.

"Wait her dad's, sorry, birth dad's, famous, and what do you mean by birth dad?!" He questioned surprised.

"You two can talk about this in your free time, but right now she needs to practice." Mr. Levee said shooing him out the door. "Wait, where is everyone?" He asked finally noticing the empty room.

I shrugged again and then he answered his own question, "Ohhh, how could I forget! The wrestling team has a meet, there's Reading Olympics, and theater requested extra time, so they'll all be here like 30 minutes late, sorry Jalynn I should have told you I completely forgot. You can just practice on your own then, I guess, Jalynn."

"I need to practice guitar, sir." Daniel says, pointing to his guitar which magically ended up from his dorm to this corner.

"Okay," Mr. Levee said after a moment. "How about you two practice together until the others come. But I have to give theses papers to Mrs. Levee in...." He paused looking at the clock, "5 minutes ago, so you guys need to be good while I'm gone." Mr. Levee says rushing out the door.

"So are you famous?" Daniel asked me.

I laugh at the directness of his question and decided to ignore it. I point to his guitar and go through my phone looking for a good song. Finally I find one that would work, Cake By The Ocean by DNCE, perfect. I showed it to him and he nodded his head.

I practiced a little before playing the song. I pointed my drum stick at him to tell him I was ready and he started strumming the guitar and soon it sounded like a concert, minus everyone screaming. Daniel was singing along and eventually I started singing with him. I don't normally like singing with other people around, but when someone else starts singing and the song's catchy, it's kinda hard not to.

.............
Talk to me, baby
I'm going after this sweet craving, whoa-oh
Let's lose our minds and go fucking crazy
I-I-I-I-I-I keep on hoping we'll eat cake by the ocean
Walk for me, baby
I'll be Didd and you'll be Naomi, whoa-oh
Let's lose our minds and go fucking crazy
I-I-I-I-I-I keep on hoping we'll eat cake by the ocean

God damn
See you licking frosting from your own hands
Want another taste, I'm begging, yes ma'am
I'm tired of all this candy on the dry land, dry land, oh

Waste time with a masterpiece, don't waste time with a masterpiece
You should be rolling with me, you should be rolling with me, ah
You're a real-life fantasy, you're a real-life fantasy
But you're moving so carefully; let's start living dangerously
.............

"You're a good singer." Daniel said to me and I blushed. It's amazing what happens to your embarrassment when someone, who sings professionally, compliments you on singing.

Mr. Levee came back a minute later and he showed me some other songs while Daniel tinkered with his guitar on the other side of the room. The other kids started coming in and we practiced for the concert agin. Once class was over I called Zoe and asked if she could come pick me up.

I started doing my homework waiting for her to come. I had to learn the numbers 1-100 for Spanish in 3 days, study for a test in history, there was a 3 page argumentative essay due in a week in English, but we were mostly doing it in class, and I had to do 20 algebraic expressions for math.

I finished half my math just as Zoe pulled up.
