Chapter 15

I arrive at the house and stop to stand outside the gates holding Eva's hand. I've never really taken the time to observe the place I call home. You see my father had a lot of money so when he died it all went to Helen which she spent on indulging herself and Cyrus in luxuries. We live in the rich part of town but we are living in a house that is on the borderline of being middle class for rich peoples standards.
The house has twenty three rooms and three floors which is considered big to most people but in this side of town almost everyone lives in mansions with over a hundred rooms in three floors as well as about two hundred acres of land. This caused a problem when I first started school here because I didn't talk to anyone except Claire so they thought I was the stuck up rich kid that thought she was too good for anyone else.
We walk into the house and I'm glad to see they aren't home. I rush around cleaning the house as fast as possible needing to read that diary. I leave Eva watching T.V and tell her to come back to our room after her show has finished. I run into our room jumping on bed and grabbing the diary from under my pillow, my hands trembling I open it.

Last night I attended a party, I met a guy named David Green. I know I've only just met him but I think I'm in love. Ha ha I'm joking, no way am I in love! He's really rich though and I may as well make the most of his money since he asked me on a date.
Just to make it even better he is very good looking, I was getting tired hanging around with those old rich men for their money. I'm glad there's at least one good-looking rich man who would continue to be rich without his inheritance and not make me look obvious as to why I was with them. Anyway I've got to go now bye.

I've just gotten back from his house this morning and let me tell you his house is massive! It's much bigger than any of the other guys houses that I've been with because instead of just living of his inheritance he has a job in architecture that he makes so much money out of.
Even though he has a pretty face he is also blessed with brains so I guess he suspects that I might use him for his money so I have to be careful. First I need to get him to trust me somehow, second I need to make him fall in love with me and lastly he has to marry me.
But I'm still lucky because he's asked me out again and that must mean he trusts me slightly. Last night I saw the glint in his eye that proved he even likes me. There may even be a chance that he could fall for me, he could ask me to marry him and then I could take his money by divorcing him!
Anyway the date started with him picking me up in his Bentley from my apartment. He greeted me with a bunch of red roses and a light kiss on the cheek. He certainly knows how to charm ladies! His chauffer drove us to this very fancy restaurant where he ordered a rich Petri dish which was absolutely divine if I must say.
Later we drove to a near by park and strolled hand in hand along the river. The night air was beautiful and clear like the summer but chillier. Our gazes hardly ever broke as we chatted about anything and everything. Well he asked a lot of questions which I answered happily wanting to keep him in the dark about why I was with him. I would occasionally ask him questions about his life but mainly about his job and social status.
However, he seemed quite content to just listen to me talk about myself. This surprised me of course since I wasn't expecting him to listen to me since most of the men I usually date only care about themselves which would always result in me having to listen to then drone on.
