It was always your dream to work at Google. To do something that made everyone else's life a little bit easier.
You've always been good with computers and electronics. You were taking your junior year internship at Google.
You go to Berkeley here in Cali. You were majoring Electronic Engineering. You pulled up the Google Headquarters. You grabbed your laptop bag and put over your shoulder before slipping your phone in your back pocket.
You went inside and met everyone at the lounge of bleacher type seats. You were looking for a seat towards the front when you saw him.
The first thing that hit you was denial. Nah, that wasn't Stuart, he moved halfway across the world when your were 9.
That was almost 11 years ago.
Then curiosity. Could it be him?
You got almost right beside him before just blurting his name. "Stuart?"
His head snapped back, looking to who was calling his name.
It was him. You two grew up together, literally. It was like you two were best friends since you came out of the womb.
Until his parents besides they didn't like it there anymore and moved to London.
"Y/n?" He rose from his seat, slipping his phone in his pocket. "Oh my god."
He pulled you into a bone crushing hug. "What are you doing here?"
He looked almost the same. He still had those sweet brown eyes, that rare, nurturing smile, his glasses and brown hair.
"I'm here to do the internship." You smile.
"Me too," he just kind of stared at you. "God, I can't believe you're here."
"I could say the same for you Stewie."
You two caught up for the next few days before you had to pick teams. You were stuck by his side, then put in the leftovers. Which was two old men, a horny girl, and a shy scared guy.
You sat on the couch beside Stuart, criss crossing your legs. Stuart was on his phone, exempting himself from the group.
Everyone introduced themselves and had a fight over breast milk. Stuart was being rude and mean.
Was this who he turned into over the years? An asshole?
"Where do you think you big tree?" Stuart said. "We got two old guys on our team that don't know shit."
You slapped his arm, giving him a look. "Stuart, c'mon, you don't have to be mean."
"Yeah, listen to your girlfriend." Says Neha.
"I'm not his girlfriend." You send her a glare.
You lost the first few challenges. Then came the app one.
A day later and a win later, you were laying on the couch with sunglasses on as Stuart played with your hair.
You were all hungover. Yo-Yo, You, and Stuart were the most hungover.
"Stewie?" you asked, feeling around for his face. "Can you hand me my water?"
"Mhm." He groaned.
"How come she gets to call you Stewie and we don't?" Billy asks.
"She's the one that came up with it."
You drank some water and put your head back on Stuarts lap.
*2 days later*
You won.
You had jobs.
You did it.
You were going to your car, putting your suitcase in it when someone stopped you.
You were twisted around and someone slammed their lips into yours.
You opened your eyes to see Stuart.
"I should have called you, wrote letters, whatever. But I should have stayed in touch with you." He pushes your hair back with his hands.
"Stewie-"
"Come back with me, stay with me, I don't want to lose you again." He begged.
"I have another year of school."
"I go to the University here, I can stay with you."
"Already moving in with me?" You smirk.
He smiles softly, kissing you softly again.
"I would love having my Stewie back again." You smiled.
He grinned and picked you up and spun you around.
